Seriously Naughty Dog, stop it, you're showing everyone else up.
These are really nice but that vista during E3 is what really did it.
i am actually in the uncharted 2 beta right now and it's interesting that these public screens all are extremely smooth but in reality both the multiplayer and story mode both have a ton of aliasing. i wish they wouldn't do that. it's a bit deceptive. otherwise the game looks and plays well.

a ton of aliasing? i dont think so, check your TV. sure there IS aliasing (what game doesnt) but it isnt bad. one of the smoother looking games on the ps3.

Multiplayer graphics =/= Singleplayer graphics in all games. The sharpness on your TV could be maxed out also.
While I do think 1st shot is touched up a bit, the rest of the screens are on par with the first Uncharted campaign but reasonably better (obviously, it's a sequel). Aliasing is only really noticeable in scenes with bright light or major HDR like in co-op. The other two maps have practically zero aliasing.
and regards to my tv i am playing on a 100 foot screen via a properly calibrated panasonic pt-ae3000 1080p projector sitting about 19 feet back (which is about normal distance, if you can't picture it). but it just might be that i notice it more than others.
additionally the single player in the beta is coop online too so it could be degraded for better online play. that could be a factor too.

I would say that they have used the same tricks that they use for cutscenes in all of these screens. Naughty Dog said that the cutscenes are rendered in realtime (rather than pre-rendered as in Drakes Fortune) and the only tweaks they apply are to the lighting & shadows and a higher level of AA. I reckon the game will look very close to these screens but with a little more aliasing and slightly harder shadows. In other words still absolutely incredible!
I'm so excited for this game... it's my most wanted game this year by far. Only God of War III eclipses it but that isn't out until 2010 sadly.
I like how the rendered the eyes of the girl in the 2nd pic. Lifeless eyes are something developers should improve on in the future.

I'm sure you mean inches, 100 foot! lol, that would be bigger than Imax screens! Even so, a 100" screen would still show up aliasing more than most people would even notice.
i played more today and it is still quite impressive. nothing to worry about really. :)
