Just hope they dont change it for the sake of changing it, a step away from the mmoish version to something more akin to a standard racer would be a real loss.
Hopefully it will be the game that TDU wanted to be. A game with TDU's ambition and much better core gameplay would be a beautiful, beautiful thing.
I've heard that TDU will be using the new CryEngine 2 which I'm sure, utilise properly can be truly an eyecandied experience.

Also felt the island was a little bland, but if this art is anything to go by, that at least seems to be fixed.
TDU was promising but despite the gorgeous tropical setting of Hawaii the tracks all looked the same after a while, it was always daylight, the weather never changed and the island was oddly devoid of people, something which utterly ruined the atmosphere for me. The killer though was the terrible vehicle handling, particularly the motorbikes, but Eden Games also developed the V-Rally series of games too so it wasn't that surprising.
I think I enjoyed it for the first eight hours or so, just driving around doing the odd delivery mission but then it gone dull... really dull, and I never bothered with it after that. Nice concept with pleasant graphics but not very well executed IMO. Felt more like a tech demo than a proper game to me, which strangely is exactly what I thought of their next game, Alone in the Dark, too!
By the way, those artwork's look awesome. But is it just me or is there a huge Jurassic Park vibe from those enviroments? :D :D
Test Drive meets MotorStorm. Can be interesting.
The concept of TDU was good though, so done right... this could be a great game.
