Whoa, these are my vids!

I'll have to apologize for the quality - the place was mobbed, and I wasn't sure if we'd be allowed to film so I just took along a relatively cheap handheld camcorder that fit in my pocket. Finding somewhere to film without blocking everyone going past was a nightmare.

Just random people being filmed in the match videos, only one guy I actually know crops up in a few of them. The one where moves are being tested out is the only one with me playing - I had to prop the camera on the seat while I played, hence the somewhat skewed camera angle.

And the game's awesome, by the way.

And since this seems to be the place for it, here's the leftover footage piled together - http://www.aubg79.dsl.pipex.com/Left.mov

You may see some engine changes in there, but don't expect too much.

Heh, thanks. I've really appreciated the footage you guys have been recording of the 360 games as well. I'm certain there's been more Doa 4 footage shown here than on any other site!

On the down side, I couldn't film any decent PDZ vids which was a bit of a shame... I got through the Garage level and I'd have loved to record the shotgun in action. At about that time on the last day of the tour, the tour closed up shop in Glasgow.

^That's garbage. Custom playlist is standard with all 360 games.

Learn to read, that's to stream music directly from an MP3 player such as an iPod. You can still rip music from your Music CD onto your HDD and play from there. That's not an option, that's how MS did that, it's done throughout all games, devs have to do a little code to get this to work, and it is MANDATORY.

This just in, DOA4 delayed 1 week.

Yeah 9 more days... This game has just recently vaulted up to the #1 game I am looking forward to play out of the launch titles.
Commented on 2005-11-10 14:26:19
Wait... this one skipped the launch right?

I'm kinda happy and sad. I'm sad that I have that i won't have any games with my 360 at launch.... But i'm also happy since I have like 2 exams during the launch week. I'll get to study without any distractions. =)

About the game

What's up?

droezelke @Melmoth: No, there won't be games this year with realtime ray-tracing (ie only 1 light source). (4 minutes ago)

droezelke @Melmoth: I don't know who it was here, but my message was for him. He thought that games using this tech would be released this year. Also nVidia hinted at it, but they meant that it might help... (7 minutes ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth as for generational jump in performance. i think for nvidia it's been about 1.5-1.7x increase the last 4-5 gens. with the pascal cards (10 series) being around 1.7x performance of maxwell (900series) (35 minutes ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth showing the tech in question. So if they took a GTX 1060 (which is mid-tier now) and tailor-made a demo to show it's full potential, it would look much better than the latest games out there. (41 minutes ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth which is both due to the hardware used to run them being years ahead in raw performance (not features) and equally important, the demos being a very polished very small slice with a strong focus on (43 minutes ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth Which isn't unlikely when looking at the past 20 years of tech demos and the adoption. it's important to state that using the technology isn't equal to looking as good as the tech demos. (45 minutes ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth are supposed to be a accurate representation of how full games look the next year or two. Nvidia only said the tech would be in GPU's this year, and most likely in games shipping as soon as fall 2018. (47 minutes ago)
