A new type of advertising will be enabled tomorrow morning on Gamersyde. We'll have a preroll video ad before the actual streaming video itself. Don't be alarmed though, it will never be longer than 45 seconds and it won't be shown more than once every few hours (at least 4), so hopefully you'll be able to survive this :) This is the only way for us to pay everyone involved in the site for their work and for our travel expenses, so we hope you'll understand why we just have to do it. And be sure we are preparing lots of great stuff for the next few weeks, and that we'll be in numbers to cover the Tokyo Games Show even better than the Game Convention last week!
Update: I also forgot to mention that we'll soon have a brand new streaming video player on the site. It will mostly have the same functionalities than the current one with a few more stuff, but it will look *much* better :)

As long as pop-ups is kept in the damn jack-in-the-box where they belong, then I'm happy.

Will it be added to the download videos also? I would hate to have to edit the videos I download.

The downloads will stay as they have always been.
And of course no pop-ups or annoying flash.

If you wanna make it you have to sell out alittle :P
And I thank god for the lack of pop-ups... adds on the site is a part of the gaming world to me, as long as they dont hinder me in any way and I dont have to do anything to get rid of them :)

Keep the fantastic work up guys.

i dont know how many people you have to bend over for to keep this site running, id imagine ubisoft have regular use of your posterior :P but ads before streaming is more than acceptable, and already common practice, this site is already the premier site for exclusive media WITHOUT being forced to pay *cough*ign*cough* just hope the site says media focused, and doesnt try moving into news focused, theres already too many of those

As long as Gamersyde doesn't become like a certain other gaming website (I will not Name names) that makes you pay for content and still has ads all over their site I will love this site for as long as it stays alive :)

The ads are okay. Unlike certain gaming sites with ads are so huge and so many of them it slows down people's computers by a lot and clutters the site to death.

I don't mind, the software on my computer blocks all adverts on all websites anyway so I don't actually see any on this site as it is. Im sure a small video like ign and gamespot do is fine. Afterall all those HD movies must suck for bandwidth.

[silly question] Does "will look *much* better " mean the player itself or the quality of the videos? [/silly question]

Also how possible would it be to have stage6 quality streams?

Thanks, and keep up the great work! :))
