Alan Wake live?

Alan Wake live?

Remedy just sent us this very intriguing teaser showing a real life Alan Wake in big trouble. Should we expect some kind of Bright Falls-like short film focusing on the famous writer? I'll leave all the wild guesses to you, but to find out what this is really all about, we have been told to wait until next Wednesday. One thing is sure, Remedy is not done with the Wakes, and that's what I call great news!

Loved the game, even if the ending has been left to interpretation.

Alan Wake was a good game despite it's gameplay limitations !
Always was like run at night from A to B,kill some enemies on the way..same type birds, some construction vehicles or dark humans. Episode end with some story telling, episode starts with some story telling !

The Night Levels hide a lot a make the game so good looking, but when you look at the day levels's a different story !

Wasn't bad,but...nothing else there :(
No climbing no...anything.A bit car driving.

Still..I enjoyed it for what it was.and I will buy the DLC.
Just it could have been so much more after all those years.

Let's see how the story continues !

You can simple-talk any game, it's quite easy. The real games are the ones that are the same, but you don't feel that way.

I mean, I know that the gameplay was all about what iosomewhere said, but I didn't pay much attention to it, because the curiosity of how the story will go on kept me playing more and more. I'm not disappointed in the game after all these years, and I don't think it could have gone any better. Alan Wake is a writer, not a super-hero.

Thinking of getting another 360 just for this game but is it good? Is it up there with Resi 1 and Silent Hill?

simple answer. NO!

but it's still worth playing. maybe not good enough to buy a console for. but still good.

I haven't played any of the two games. But if you mean by that "being completely blown away", no probably not, albeit the lighting blew me away at first. It does a lot of things right and different than other games do it. The atmosphere is very well done and the world feels alive. What it ultimately fails at is giving you a satisfying ending and throughout interesting encounters. The whole middle section of the game has been fantastic though.

edit: The whole middle section of the game has been throughout fantastic though, great pacing and storytelling. That alone is worth its money.

The clip is from a Poets of the Fall music video for the song War, which was featured in the game.

I wouldn't take KORNdog's answer as definitive, as there are many others who absolutely love the game. I'd look in the game's thread on the main forums for a better interpretation of how good the game is.

The game's probably not good enough to warrant you buying a 360 just for it, but I haven't played it so my opinion doesn't really count to be honest.
