Page 1 2 >>I will buy it for $20 on steam, looks interesting ^_^
in fact, they will lose many, and this new system of theirs will not create replacements.
I used to think I would die with a controller in my hand and a smile on my face, but now I think in ten years I'll probably have ditched gaming; there's too much metagame associated with it now.
well, maybe I'll stick with the indie scene.
EA has more muscle to force their way into the digital DL scene on the PC than Microsoft does.
PS. There's a thread on NeoGAF about it being in the Steam registry. This in no way is a solid confirmation that it will ever be released though.
Don't hold your breath, I think Alice won't be on Steam, it will be exclusive to Origin, EA's new platform.
A little tip about the framerate: it is locked at 30 fps. You can change this cap by editing the aliceengine config file which can be found under documents/mygames/Alice Madness Returns/alicegame/config.
Change the two max framerate settings: just search for 'max' and where you see 'framerate' after the 'max', change the 30 (or 32) to whatever you want.
If you want the physx set to high, you will need at least a GTX560 according to nVidia to have decent framerates.
Go fall off a cliff.

I'm unhappy D:
There is something wrong with the discs of the 360 version. Even if you have installed the game the disc still spins in the dvd drive. It's weird.

There's a way to "fix" it somehow. Before launching the game, play a song from a UBS key plugged into your 360. Once the game is loaded, stop the song and the console will be quiet again. Don't ask me why though...
lol.
I still wanna play it though.
I've said in the past that i though the game looks incredibly dated design wise, and it is, but it's not as much of an issue as i expected. levels do progress and generally look like they're from the mid 90's (polygonal edges everywhere, invisible walls EVERYWHERE). and the graphics are some of the worst I've seen (the game looks VERY UE3) but the old-school platforming gameplay is what's the most appealing and the art style is good. and it's a decent challenge as far as platformers go too, even the combat system is relatively decent.
considering you get the first Alice free if you buy the game, I actually think this is worth the full asking price. both adventures combined are going to run you into the 25-35 hour mark. so value for money isn't really an issue. along with portal 2 it's probably been one of the best games I've rented so far this year.
