This the game that I'm most exited about, next to Far Cry 2. The trailers were all amazing. But I have one fear: that it's going to disappoint because I'm to hyped up for it.

it looks good, but theres something about it preventing me from wanting to buy it...same goes for silent hill. i cant put my finger on what it is, but something just isnt clicking with me...im definately going to rent it tho. it at least deserves to be played.

Some things really blow me away, while other things seem very mediocre. When he was shooting his gun, or swinging those objects, it just didn't seem right.

QuickTime often shows non-standard behaviour with mp4 fils. Try VLC.

After seeing this the next SH game looks just plain pathetic. Can't wait.

It looks like it turned into a survival-horror game, instead of staying as the old horror-adventure game. I just wanted more of the same, damn it.

Alone In The Dark was always a survival-horror game. (Sure, it had a bit of adventure as well.) Did you play the first one? It invented the genre, at least the 3D survival-horror genre anyway.

"What's with this fbeeping stone?" Lol! After watching the video I think you mean it's turned into more of an action game, a bit like Resident Evil 5 has. Sure, the old style is cool but I guess they want to open up the gameplay more. Lets just see what it's like before complaining too much about the change of game style.

An early review noted problems with the controls being clunky and detracting from the overall game. Hope this isn't the case as the game otherwise looks good.

my god, i have never heard such mediocre sound fx in a game with such high production values. that end scene was ridiculous how that destruction of the road sounded like they just recorded the sound of an avalanch and put it in there. not to mention that shitty sounding gun fire. what where they thinking. this game cant be scary if everything sounds so fake.

How can you even comment on sound effects when everything is scaled back so much so you can hear the woman's voice?

If you cant hear the sounds in it then i must have some superhuman hearing. just listen to the end. and i know it sounds the way it does because if u ever seen the gametrailer videos of the combat it sounds very mediocre.

I can hear it, but I'm also not listening to it on a decent sound system the way a tv would, and the sounds are scaled down for the commentary

FPS elements suck imho, and I'm affraid that gamerplay may suffer due to forced interaction with the environment. Hopefully I'm wrong.
