Anthem is available to all those who have subscribed to EA Access, so we finally put our money down to try the game ourselves. Since Gamersyde has never been high profile enough to be on EA's safe list for early reviews, we didn't have much of a choice if we wanted to be able to share videos before everyone starts playing the game. The following footage was recorded in borderless mode with ultra settings. Our RTX 2080 Ti still struggles a bit to maintain a steady framerate, but it's not too bad considering the resolution and all the effects on screen.
This is the closes (setting) i've seen to my old fav. Irem's Ninja Spirit that i've seen. Feudal japan mixed with From's superb bosses also makes me think about Madhouse's Ninja Scroll. (36 minutes ago)
only played the first area (after the prologue), and it's more openworld-ish than the other From games. very vertical , and wider play area. (39 minutes ago)
@asdfg: The first miniboss felt like something they put in there to tell soulspeople that "don't play it like it's souls". i got whooped seriously when i tried to dodge the guy,. (42 minutes ago)
@nostradamus: yeah they can be a real pain. Finally starting to get the hang of the parrying. Are you liking it so far nos? (2 Hours ago)
