Assassin's Creed Unity sneak peek

Reminds me too much of AC2/Brotherhood but different period.
And I really dont like the character's design, its like they didnt put any effort into it compared to previous AC games.

I wish they would go into a more overhaul change like feudal japan/china type of setting.

That would be sweet,i may even purchase the game if it went with a japan/china setting.I dig the new gamersyde video player, good job guys.

shit setting, boring looking main character. but graphically...very nice. 60fps too? so, PC footage?

That's a lot more like it. Those cross gen games have really given a false impression to what the current gen should technically look like. That looks impressive.

Look fantastic, setting remind me of AC2 graphics seems legit for PS4/PC considering infamous

If any of that is ingame footage, I will eat my hands..... Ubisoft is yet again using its hype machine!!!!
Commented on 2014-03-21 17:24:54
I wanna believe that was in-game. It had too many imperfections to be CG.. And, if it indeed was in-game, it is looking fantastic!
Commented on 2014-03-21 17:27:32
Why would the notion of this being CGI even enter anyone's head?
Commented on 2014-03-21 17:31:46
I saw it first on youtube and thought it was CGI, then people on gaf kept saying it wasent. When i saw the video in 1080p here i saw it wasent CGI thats when i had my doubts if Ubisoft will pull off a Watch Dogs on it and downgrade it. Though in 1080p i notice the papers i the air when the camera was low on the street started to vanish, some jaggies...then it was obvious to me.

I guess the amount of characters on screen has made a huge impression on most of us. I know Hitman games managed to put a lot characters on screen even in the PS2 era, but I expect that in the new AssCreed all the NPC will have at least half the details as the protogonist and won't be clones of eachother but have unique randomized looks and some nice animations. Standing in a such a crowd of characters would be a relly next gen experiance.

In comparision look at Infamous - the graphicsa are really sharp and all but the streets still look empty and lifeless. I mean if I could choose I would cut some of the detali or resolution and put tons of characters and cars on screen so you could see them even in distance.

Looks very nice.

@Mrfred.

That was in game, you could tell with some shimmer, and shadows. I think that was PS4 footage.

It´s CLEARLY real time/ in engine, not CGI. If the game looks like this during gameplay, Its fine to me. Looks beautiful :)

Looks nice, but it's AssCreed. The announcement of kitchen mittens collection 2014 gets me more excited than this franchise.
Commented on 2014-03-21 18:25:48
There is no way the game when it comes out will look like that.

Not even on PC.

I think the volumetric fog/smoke (combined with smart use of depth sprites) is what really sells the visuals here.

The volume fx was (very) partially implemented in the pc/ps4/x1 versions of black flag, while ubi first used depth sprites in Advanced Warfighter 2.

Very good looking stuff.. The streetpart impressed me the most, great atmosphere..

Oh boy, here we go again. This is getting too exciting.

If those are in fact legit graphics, its going to be crazy from a realistic looking approach perspective.

Lets just hope they can improve the gameplay of this franchise, specially the combat system, bringing something new, different and not as boring after 3 missions or fights. I mean, its time dear fellows from Ubisoft, we've been through quite a few AC games and we are now on The next gen. Visuals and boats are not enough. Thank you.

I wonder if they'll actually make it a stealth game again or keep designing systems more and more for combat and shoving those systems into "stealth" sequences that are really annoying to actually stealth through. I'd much rather see their subpar AI and gameplay improve than get pretty graphics. Take things back to the drawing board. AC1 had it's issues but it was a lot more original than later games which mind as well have just been a hack and slash. Major props to the engineers and artists, but now it's time for the rest of the team to prove to us that we aren't just getting another poorly rehashed combat system and god-awful stealth systems/sequences.

in engine but definitely not in game....downgrade awaits.....
Commented on 2014-03-21 20:17:15 In reply to jobboy
yeh im sick to death of people saying games will look good because the trailers and IN ENGINE lol

In engine means nothing to how the game will actually look, hell look at the cut scenes in killzone shadowfall the characters look good BUT in the actual game when your playing those same characters look pretty bad compared

for example that nutty female scientist woman she looked great in that cutscene when she was being held and she was pushed (if u know what scene i mean) but as soon as your playing the game and you follow her to the lab she looks crap
