Looks tidy and all but the lack of AA really bothers me, especially when the camera in panning over the city *putting flamesuit on*

Well it does look impressive. Looks like it's cut from the same gameplay demo that the press got to see back in march. Hopefully we'll get to see a full playtrough at E3.

Not far off the CGI reveal trailer. If it weren't for some aliasing, I dare say accusations of this being CGI would be rife. As impressive as it looks, it's not running on the latest UE, is it?

Nope, I've read somewhere they're working with a modified version of the Engine used for Arkham Asylum and Arkham City (which was Unreal Engine 3).

Holy crap at the aliasing. I had not expected that. Of course those silky smooth screens were too good to be true.

The video quality is really bad at the beginning, it's not Gamersyde's fault, rather Rocksteady or WB's fault for not aplying aliasing and sending a low-quality video to Gamersyde, that first city shot is horrendous to say the least.

The quality of the game will be very close, if not better, to the screenshots. What concerns me is that the overuse of lens-flare is reminding me of Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days, which isn't good.

Also, I played Batman: Arkham Asylum from beginning to end about 5 times, 3 runs being 100%, and Scarecrow's voice was way, way better, Rocksteady is most likely using a different voice actor, which sucks. Really liked the original's voice. =(

Anyway, this trailer made me feel a lot less excited about the game, not only the video quality, but the shots and the editing just didn't felt right, hopefully we get tons of videos at E3 to forget this trailer ever existed.

None of the actual real-time stuff looked good at all. In fact, it looked pretty bad. The cutscenes looked good, but so what? The in-game play won't look like that (never has, never will), so please keep your expectations in check. With the tiny bits and pieces of actual real-time gameplay in this trailer, color me completely unimpressed.

I don't know what you're all expecting, this looks great. Unless you've been playing the games on Max on PC this is indeed a step above consoles last-gen.

Yes it did, and hyperbole a bit much? That was all taken from the actual in-game graphics. Pan a camera around Batman and it will look exactly just like it does in the trailer. To say this looks bad is simply ridiculous.

As for complaints of the AA, pay attention to the beginning where the camera pans over the city. That's actually not bad AA, but some kind of weird artefacting caused by the rain effect. It appears to be distorting the pixels as it moves down the screen. It otherwise looks acceptable as far as jaggies are concerned apart from that one scene.

Oh i have no concerns that it will be sorted when it releases, but i think the chance of a delay is growing bigger and bigger.

I somehow don't share this ubiquitous annoying, boring, idiotic, obnoxious sentiment that 'this and that doesn't look good & look how his left thumb texture is blurry'. From artistic point of view this game sends exactly the vibe i would expect from Batman. Dark, grim and brutal. Why do you constantly nitpick every single nonsensical detail?

The image quality is hardly nonsensical.

I am not really into this style of Batman. To me it's all too... High tech & flashy sci-fi looking. Though I was never super into the art direction of the previous Arkham games. It's not horrible though.

You're talking about the cutscenes, which look fine. All of the gameplay elements look poor (there were only a few glimpses of real-time gameplay in this trailer). Implying that the cutscenes are a reflection of what the game will look like is the only ridiculous assertion here. Everything in the trailer that was not part of a cutscene looked bad. I'm not saying that it won't be fixed by the time it's released, but I'm also not holding my breath.

From what we've heard, the game is supremely under-optimized and very early at the moment, so the lack of AA doesn't entirely surprise me.
Also, I am pretty sure this is a compression issue with the trailer. The compression is really shitty and inconsistent. Some scenes look fine, others look messy and it's not just aliasing going on there.

Hardly a deal breaker either, though. Here's the thing: people saying "Oh, but those are cut scenes, and the game won't look that good." Which part of that trailer exactly is a cut scene, and which is the actual game, or is it all the actual game; or just one big cut scene and a combo of both? So, the city part was the game, and the close up bits of Batman and the characters aren't? How do you come to that conclusion? Because one looks sharp and the other doesn't? Maybe the aliasing, like most games, only really occurs here when the camera is focusing on the larger landscape with smaller things in the distance. That's more likely the case, in which case, it's nothing out of the ordinary or unusually bad per se. What's not in doubt is that when the game looks sharp, it looks superb.
