Hopefully the choppers still have a place in the game, by far the most fun you can have in a vehicle.
I guess it depends on how large the maps are. But by far, the most fun i've ever had in a Battlefield game was on the El Alamein map. Huge open desert, two opposing bases, jeeps, infantry, tanks, choppers, jets. Amazing.

This is exactly the reason why I keep coming back to BF. The sensation of storming a building full of baddies with your friends, shit exploding left and right, making decisions that wipe out half the opponents. There is no game that can come even close to what BF does for me.

console version looks awful...how can anyone play this game without 4X AA and v-sync on? Will wait for the superior version XD
I know it's weird, but even though I can play any game maxed on my PC, I still prefer to play on my 360. I guess it feels more natural because the mouse is too acurate and fast. It seems strange in a more realistic shooter like Battlefield, IMO. Of course, I also like my couch and surround system on my 42" LCD...
All of my best friends that game are on XBL so I have the most fun online gaming that way. Plus, like Frozpot, I like couch/LCD/blaring surround sound effect of console gaming. I'm far too lazy to hook my PC up to all that when I wouldn't want to keep it there.
That being said, if a lack of 4xAA and v-sync can really ruin your gaming experience THAT much I feel sorry for you and how many great yet ugly games you are missing out on. Poor bastard...

Day one purchase for me!

What? No it doesn't.
I think (hope) the full game delivers as much as it has the potential to. I'm having fun with it, but not as much as I was hoping. Let's hope that's just b/c it's only one map.

You're right.. that is strange :P Too accurate and fast? Battlefield... realistic? What?
I mean how you have to lead your targets, the destruction in the environment, and the speed of movement. The weapons feel real( even if they are tweaked for balance), and your character and weapons have weight. Mouse aim is good for accuracy, but is all arcade. If you'd ever had to fire a real weapon, you know what I'm talking about- Especially if you are moving. Some of the major reasons I like battlefield more than COD...
But if that's your preference more power to you.
Sadly, it just won't have the deep community MW2 will have for a long time.

A higher resolution gives you a way better picture for potentially less of a performance loss (not to mention AA's quality often depends on the implementation).
V-sync is a catch-22, if you have a good PC, v-sync is pointless since you wont get tearing anyway (so you may as well leave it off to get maximum FPS), but if you have a bad PC, v-sync just makes it run worse. Pretty much redundant either way IMO.
Really looking forward to this, DICE are mad kents. I'm upgrading all my hardware for the occasion xD
In fact, the better your computer the more tearing you are likely to experience without v-sync.
