Brothers in Arms: HH trailer

Gearbox and Ubisoft have produced a new developer's diary for Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway, which is planned to be released at the end of August on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. The diary explains why a certain happening in World War 2 was chosen to base the game around.

This game has been in development for a long time, and it looks very polished.

It's going to be worth the wait :D
Looks amazing and definitely what I was expecting for a next gen BIA game.

The game looks amazing, just not sure if I'll digg the gameplay. The controls seem a bit awkward.

The setting is cool though, I'm kind of sick of the WWII setting but the fact that it takes place in my home country and is very well replicated makes it that more interesting.

Not sure if it's an instant buy for me, but it definitely looks great.

this game alone is why i think setting the next call of duty in WWII was a bad idea. one of them is going to be on top, and having that type of competition is very risky when Treyarch is dealing with a popular franchise.

theres room for both. This game isnt a simple run and gun fps, with countless set pieces. Brothers in arms has always been much deeper, requiring use of strategy (how that will translate in multiplayer i dont know).

The new cod has 4player co-op going for it, and will be more accessable..so i expect it to sell more. But i know which of the two will be the more refreshing experience..and one i'm really looking forward to.

Melmoth @HR2: a lot of studios used modified UE3, games like Arkham Knight, XCom2, both being very problematic on pc. Interesting to see what those studios will do for their next games. (22 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @HR2: Ubisoft uses their own engines. They have like.. three solid in house game engines. (22 minutes ago)
  • HR2
HR2 @Melmoth: agreed. speaking of Ubisoft, I wonder which engine they're using for the next Splinter Cell. a heavily modified UE3 like Batman AK or UE4? (31 minutes ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth yea, Bloodborne seemed to be the right time (new gen hardware) for such effects. like the parallax occlusion mapping on most surfaces. (36 minutes ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth watchdogs was first shown 18 months before the X1 and PS4 release, and a year before the hardware reveal. They predicted what the nextgen capabilities would be, but overshot it. (41 minutes ago)
