Child of Eden videos

Child of Eden videos

I called this my game of the show at TGS back in September of 2010, so as you can imagine I've been dying to get my hands on Child of Eden. In Japan we still don't have a launch date, so like REZ before it I had to import it. In the video show shown the Kinect is used through-out, you can use the controller but using Kinect just gives the player an experience that they've never felt, a feeling of conducting an orchestra.
Enjoy the videos.
Update: 2 new videos added, Matrix, Evolution.

shhhh.. you cant say anything positive about kinect!

lies, crap games tend to attract crap control solutions. Great games like this tend to complement with great controls.

I just Hope Project Draco can be as good and make me bite, but I doubt it.

Games like these need to be mentioned when they are talking about motion controlled games. Not crappy games like they show off today.

indeed.
All they need to say is "in addition to this crap we're shoveling onto your wallets, we also have stuff that's fun to play"

Mizuguchi is smart, he realized right away that the one thing the kinect could be great for as a controller is rail shooters, especially a spiritual successor to the greatest rail shooter ever made, also his own creation.

If you introduce a regular game world with characters on foot like that awful Star Wars abomination or Fable rail nonsense it quickly falls apart and feels restrictive instead of liberating or revolutionary.

Looks stunning, especially at the later stages, Mizuguchi is a genuis!

Love the game, it goes well with my psychedelic drugs ;)
And for this i'm willing to stand up and wave my arms ... wich i'm doing for a couple of days now . Bring me the next cool kinect game !

it's a lot like rez (obvious i know) but without the cool environmental/avatar evolution. i'd honestly find it hard to justify spending the RRP on this tbh. seems a PSN/XBLA game would be more fitting? kinda like flower on PSN. was the game good? yes, would i have paid 40 quid for it? no. and that's the case here too for me. does look pretty good, but i'd have been more inclined to actually buy it if it was a reasonably priced downloadable title.

i'll either rent it or pick it up cheap on PS3 whenever it's released, since i have a feeling 3D will benefit the experience a lot.

Banner made me think of that iCarly crap lol... Game looks lame, like a more upbeat version of Flower (ie, interactive wallpaper)

Yeah it sucks and its worth 800msp and nothing above that. Thanks God for original games like COD, infamous, Halo, Killzone etc. Those are truly original games. LMAO

Infamous 2 is going to be GOTY - you can hear that only here haha. :D
It's a sad people prefer to spend money in unoriginal games.

The only thing that's more sad is that ^this^ promotes game developers to be forced to make more unoriginal games by publishers who aren't up for taking creative risks. A real shame because it means that genres will continue to be limited.

Very similar to Rez, but we knew that ofcourse. Worked brilliantly with kinect, and it feels like the game was designed with that controller in mind. One of the few kinect games where potentially can look like a maestro while playing, as demonstrated by Michuguzhi.

If you think Flower is interactive wallpaper you have obviously never actually played it.

I want this game bad, but I also don't own Kinect yet...

Also I wish Flower were on 360. It's the only game on PS3 I'd like to play right now

The only game on PS3 you'd like to play right now? There are loads of great PS3 exclusives you're missing out on.

Tiz Halo is a lot more dependent on individual skill which makes gunfights more intense and Overwatch is far more dependent on team synergy. (3 Hours ago)

Tiz As someone who has a fair amount of hours in both Halo & Overwatch, I'd say they both scratch different itches, but Overwatch has the broader appeal. (4 Hours ago)
