Chromehounds trailer & images

Sega seems to be releasing Chromehounds media on a weekly basis nowadays, now releasing 35 images and a trailer about the campaign mode presenting the story in general. Suddenly, the game seems to be a little bit more deep than MechAssault was.

the one thing about this game that really excites me is the explosion effects...they are very good

some of the texture work is just awful. And the scenery is pretty bland. I dont think any of the 360s power is being used here. Its like running the orginal half life on a duel core system with sli gpus. Not sure what the dev team are doing with thier time lol.

Trailer looks amazing. The environments in the screens look a bit blank though, but in the trailer it looks great.

I'm a big Mechwarrior/Mechassault fan, so I'm looking forward to this. I just hope it's good. I also hope that FASA Studios announces a new game at E3 as well, but I'm not holding my breath or anything.

Seems pretty cool, I wasn't sure if the campaign mode was going to be interesting but now I'm sure it will be pretty entertaining. I'm looking forward to this game as always, not sure what everyone is complaining about, especially when we haven't even seen the game running at 720p on a 360 in front of them.

Why is it that these developers fail to turn on AA?

They forgot to flip the switch?

Who cares about how bad a tree looks, this game isn't even finished and you are complaining about the trees.

I'm really not sure. The frame buffer grabs never have AA applied to them for some reason, and I don't know why developers even bother putting out screens like this, because AA has been in all the games I've seen like this.

Its not as simple as just pressing a button and they magically have Anti-Aliasing you know. It often takes a lot of coding. As with most things.

Anyway, game looks awesome. it don't know what people are complaining about. I luuuurve the explosion effects. :D

There is some AA. It would be alot more jaggier than that if it was completely off.

Graphics are looking pretty awesome, just hope the gameplay is balanced between the strengths of the different mecha.

The game is looking very good IMO. Oh and let's all get ready for another draught (sp?), not a lot of games until about August or so.

what? are you crazy? show me a vid or a screen that looks better than this from the early stages of the development of this game. and dont give me none of the cinematic crap either.

The screens are kinda lame, but I found the video impressive. Demolition time, bitches !

not impressed...

The screenshots don't do this game justice, it really has to be seen in motion to really apreciate it. Seems to be that way with alot of 360 games. Looking really good.

just cuz the developer is FROM SOFTWARE i have faith in this game but the trailer has framerate issues and the screens look lmuch like steel batallion, a XBOX 1 game.
Commented on 2006-04-17 12:26:54
looks worse then the trailer released few days ago

What I like, is that the missles and shots reflect on the water in realtime, gotta love that.
