Good news indeed, I thought it would be a few more months before we saw this beast on the shelves. Now I have to choose between PDZ and this... >.<

It looks to me that is is using the same engine as F.E.A.R. (confirm/deny?) so, I believe if Monolith wanted to, this could have been a PC game as well.

With that said, this is still one of my most anticipated 360 launch titles, so I'll be sure to get/play it at some point anyway.

yes the base of its engine is the same as FEAR .
And they ll bring it to PC also , but i dont know if this is at the same time or later of the xbox360 version.
So remains to see if this engine will put high end PCs on its knees like original FEAR engine.
But i think that the whole light / shadow thing will be better than FEAR.

I think this is pretty much a console franchise from what I've heard Monolith say. It's up to Sega as publishers though.

I've always had a real special place in my heart for Monolith games. No One Lives Forever I & II and Shogo, those were awesome games.

Yeah, the NOLF games were some of the best FPSes out there. Even the multiplayer was a lot of fun. I remember running my friends over with the snowmobile on the ice levels.

The only real flop Monolith have ever made is MxO. But they redeemed themselves with F.E.A.R recently :D

this game has slowly crept up to almost the very top of my launch title lists.

however i remember reading somewhere (but i cant remember where) that this game was pretty short. anyone have more info in regards to that?

Its kinda hard to tell with those pics if AA is on, I dont think its 4xaa but it might be 2xaa.....

Here is two pics from the PC version of Call of Duty 2 one without aa and one with 4xaa.

q4 actually looks very nice with settings on max. Much better than doom 3. So does COD 2, IMO COD 2 has the most advanced engine that has been released so far. The draw distance and detail of this engine is amazing, especially in the Russian campaigns.
