She's probably the hottest wellknown racingdriver outthere, but I'd rather have someone really into the game explaining/selling it to me.. This is marketing that just doesn't work for me..

Beta convinced me, they did what they had to do to turn me over.

Highly typical of Activision. As DeadHat stated, the beta speaks for itself. No need to bring in a celeb who is clearly not interested in the least bit about the game, to sell it. But we get the same kind of malarkey for DJ Hero. Rappers who could truly care less about the game, other than selling their own tracks on it, promoting the game with quips of faux passion about how good a lackluster game is.

Go Daddy! I mean go bizarre! Definate a day 1 purchase for me.

She obviously reading off an auto cue which was kind of annoying. But I'm glad they stopped doing those cheesy dev promos lol.

  • Melmoth
Melmoth @Tiz: Most big games were larger than what a standard CD-ROM disc could store, so it wasn't unusual that pirated games were lacking audio tracks or movies. (1 Hour ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth @Tiz: Sega used a proprietary GD-ROM format (about 1GB discs) for storage. It did not stop piracy though as you with a bootdisc could start cd-r copies without the need to hard mod the console. (1 Hour ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I think it was apparent to people.. even before the system launched.. that the early launch of the Dreamcast was risky. So I can see how EA might want to play hardball to sweeten the deal on said risk (4 Hours ago)

GriftGFX They also sold 2K and exited the console business... so maybe it wasn't all the best course of action after all :D (4 Hours ago)
