I agree but I dont understand they fire people yet they acquire another studio... my heart goes to those employees.

Back to game, LOVE IT! it's really coming together graphically.

visually, this is one of the most impressive looking games I've seen...its up there with GoW3 which is really impressive considering the graphical heritage of that series

Can't wait to get it, should be very very interesting!

This is really looking awesome, and I have to admit I had a few misgivings about turning Dante into an action game (no, not that Dante, who already has an action game).

But the whole "save" or "damn" thing seems really contrived, a last minute attempt to give the gamer a choice in what would otherwise be a very linear, go-here-and-kill-this kind of game. And there's nothing wrong with that kind of game if you ask me--so why force Dante into some kind of soul-saving messiah for the damned? Plus, I think that is very theologically suspect, and only God can forgive sinners.

Oh well, can't wait to chop me up some demons!

Aaaand... there's an Animated Movie by japanese studio Production I.G. (Ghost in the Shell) that will be released alongside Dante's Inferno in February 2010.

THANK YOu for the link. Is the game running at 60fps ? it sure seemed that way from the video.

That was one of their main goals. One guy on the team said, "30 FPS feels like you're drunk".

The "punish/absolve" mechanic, I really hope it's not like inFAMOUS. That's the only thing I'm worried about.

Sweet video!
And yeah, the gameplay seems to be 60fps.

The games looks ok, but let's not compare this to GoW3. I highly doubt this game will be able to compete with GoW3 in terms of production values and overall polish, due to experience alone.

And no, I'm not being a sony fanboy. I just don't think people should get too hyped for something simply b/c dead space was so good.

But its okay for you to compare :P

Sath, obviously I meant don't compare it to GoW b/c it has proven so little as of yet, not don't compare it as in, never mention the two games together.

Huh? So we should only compare, when we have Dante's Inferno 3? BTW, Dead Space was not just good, it was the best game of 2008.

Well I do agree that Dead Space was the best game of 2008, or at least damn close. Fuck that game was good! :-)

What's up?
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Wait, are we trying to make it sound unlikely here? Because I can make it sound unlikely too if you want. It's just that it makes a lot of sense, and rumours and Sony's comments sorta line up. (1 minute ago)
  • bleachedsmiles
bleachedsmiles do psn games even sell well? they're certainly not in the numbers of xbla games i know that much. Is there a size limit on psn games? (3 minutes ago)
  • bleachedsmiles
bleachedsmiles i dont see how it would be viable for a developer at all.. given how different the wii and ps3 are in structure..it would need 2 seperate teams, or twice the resources to bring a psn game? (5 minutes ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Mostly just that Dead Space Extraction is heavily rumoured for PSN/XBLA, and it makes sense financially/licensing wise. Developing something for digital/Wii places them within a similar budget frame. (8 minutes ago)
  • bleachedsmiles
bleachedsmiles what makes you think wii cross overs would be psn bound and not ps3 full releases? (13 minutes ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 @Megido: No they're not, actually, but they're not the games people talk about. They're very much the Okami of the Wii library. Although I don't actually have Okami for Wii, haha. :D (23 minutes ago)
  • IRAIPT0IR
IRAIPT0IR I will pretend that all this talk didnt happen :P motion controller,wand,natal......the future looks like crap in terms of videogames if that is the path!! (36 minutes ago)
