Video PC Xbox 360 PS3

It may sound absurd, but Darksiders II hasn't been officially released in France yet. Since the game is released on August 21 here and it's past midnight, we are now authorized to show you a good number of videos from the Xbox 360 version and the PC version (these being in 1080p and 60 fps). Even though the technical aspect of the game is far from being perfect, it still is a great title you should definitely experience if you liked the first episode. But enough talking, check out our eight gameplay videos.

Finished the game today. Ending was a bit uhm, short, lol. But overall D2 is an awesome title.

Now starting NG+ (stupid level cap).

A PS3 fanboy would say: yes.

And why is D2 not officially released in the EU yet? I'm from germany and have the game since friday last week. Got it from amazon.de. (no marketplace). I doubt amazon breaks street dates.

THQ said they would send a PS3 version, but we received a 360 copy. What did you want us to do?

I would say it is. I don't think you can enjoy the sequel if you grew tired of the first one. But I might be wrong.

Actually i think it improves on Darksiders 1 in every way except for the story pretty much (well i haven't played through the entire game but so far at least). Sure, it's the same type of game, just more variety added to the combat, RPG mechanics to keep you hooked and some pretty grand visual moments.

I'd say that Darksiders 2 has more lasting appeal than the first.

I suppose my one gripe with it is that the prince of persia type run/jump game elements have shitty controls that misfire and kills me all the time, but it's a fairly minor gripe that rarely gets to the point where it's too frustrating.

The game is large, sprawling, epic and filled with a ton of what we classify as "C-bugs" (graphical glitches mostly). There are a couple of areas that are bigger/more tedious than they need to be and a few boss fights that are filled with "was easy for us" type cheap bullshit.

All that said, great game.

There are some serious fuckups as well. In the forge lands there is this one place where there is a goddamn hole that you can't get out of if you jump in. Fast travel or reset :P
