The shadows look kinda bad but it's still in alpha stage. And keep in mind today's laptops outperform the 360. I haven't been blown away by ANY game in recent years
I thought fighting games were supposed to have really good graphics because they don't have to render large levels and several enemies. Why is this game so fugly? Those are some flatout horrendous textures.

Characters look good. Love the more not sooo doll-like style.

That said, i don't see how this game is "fugly" in any way other than the art style.
Mounty Oum needs to work on this game.
Mount Oum is an animator. From what i know he just rips models form games and uses them. And to be honest i don't exactly think his animations are production quality either...alright for a single guy and the quantity he produces but e3tbh i was never THAT impressed by his stuff :P
Edit: I'd only seen his "haloid" vid, which was entertaining. After reading his comments on that Dead Fantasy link, I've got more respect for him. He's teaching himself to be a better animator, but he's considers himself more a director. Cool, and good for him!
My annoyance with the series is that characters bring knives and swords into a fist fight yet never use them. If fights are meant to be just sparring events then leave the weaponry behind, after all why handicap yourself with the weight.
I'd say he is really good at stringing other peoples animations together. Any original animation he puts in is junk- see the marine, covenant, and ending scene animation in "haloid". There is a huge disconnect in quality. All the fighting animation comes straight from games/ movies. He does a really good job of choreographing them together though.

Yeah, i mean it's good that he does stuff and tries to get better but the quality of what he does is...well, rather amateurish. I think a lot of people give him cred for stuf he really doesn't do, which is why i pointed it out. But whatever, people like the stuff so good for him :)

Is that to simulate the age and firmness of the boobs? Like if you set age to 99 they turn gravity off and give the juggs the same consistency of a 99 year old? Seems likely :P
