Def Jam: Icon images

Def Jam: Icon images

Electronic Arts is not slowing down with the new Def Jam: Icon medias since here are 19 new images of the game. It's also worth noting that the demo is available on the Marketplace since a few hours.

EA needs to take lesson from Itagaki when making cg women.

other than that, I love this game looks awesome

Shame the demo appears to be from a very early build. Its rather slow compared to the lates vids. Still getting it!

Seems as if the female models display a significant drop in detailed compared to the hip hop artists. It's pretty darn noticeable. I want to believe that those screens are from the PS2 version (if there is one), but that would be me in denial.

Ewwwww the women do look awful. Not only that, but you can see in the first and second pic how much they messed up the character skinning (that's when they attach the physical geometry to the "bones" that they animate with, and how they tell each poly to move with it). It looks VERY unprofessional and CRAPPY. Look how her arm folds like some Toy Story action figure. Yuk.

Well I suppose the characters look so good, not because of anything EA has done, but because of their NASA body scanner doodads. I would not have released these pictures of these ugly women to the public. They just look awful in this game. Although I do like the one in the black bikini LOL (not her face).

Haven't played the previous Def Jam games, but this one looks kinda cool. Reminds me of the Tobal games in gameplay terms. Can't wait to smack up some rappers. Wonder if 2Pac will do a Akuma-style entrance if you win 5 matches in a row.

the demo sux!!! IMO they ruined the series with these new mechanics...good ideas gone bad. i can't have fun with it at all because the controls are totally unresponsive. the other def jam games were great, if the final version isn't signifigantly improved, they've lost a fan...

Well after playing the demo, i have to say im absolutely disgusted by what EA did to the game. The gameplay is terrible. Not getting this if this is a indication of what the gameplay will be..

Edit: exactly what Trup1aya4rea1 said.

Where is this mysterious demo I keep hearing about?

i knew it, i knew they would blow it.

Why couldn't they stick to the formula or def jam 2. There was nothing wrong, it rocked! god damn you EA, now i know why people hate you!

I was pretty dazzled by how it all looked when I played it, and I'm intrigued by the rythm based fighting.

Too bad they mowed over a game I loved in the process, and too bad I can't stand the music in it to the point where I can "learn the beat to win the game!" as they suggest I do. Which is a fantastic idea, and I applaud it! But it's the wrong genre of music for me.

Oh yeah, and it's on top of a game that was doing just fine without it. Grr.

Okay so I found the demo. It could be the most realistic-looking game I've ever seen...but the game itself is turd.... =[

Phaethon360 The 5th is funnier. It assumes they only announced the game at Gamescom, when they revealed its existence at E3. They had months to let people know about it, but chose not to based on their answers. (2 Hours ago)

Sdarts The 4th question is interesting, and the only way its answer is true is if RotTR was going to have X budget, but because of Microsoft it will now have Y budget. Otherwise PR BS. (2 Hours ago)
