Supercar Challenge came out this week for ps3 and that is proving enjoyable, then this is out next week, then NFS:shift.
Anyway nice driving,
Not sure whether to hold off for the pc version or the ps3 version. I've only got a dx10 gtx285 so no dx11 use from it. Plus it's not out for another month for pc.

My advice: when ATI launces it's dx11 cards, sell your GTX285 and buy the Cypress 5870 (about 350 dollars if the rumours are true). The Cypress should be better than the GTX295 (1600 shader pipelines).
I usually avoid picking up 1st gen dx cards. Usually its better to wait for some reviews and price drops. Plus I'd like to see if ATI have managed to improve cooling. I got nvidia over ati for that sole reason. thanks for the advice though.
Its a colin McRae game in name alone now.
nice looking game but not something i'm gonna buy.. they've made it far too American for my liking.. i know several that have been put off by the cheesy banter during races (which is more suited to something like Tony hawks, than a british rally game)..not knowing theres an option to mute it.

Quite an unfortunate consequence of Codemasters wanting to make more money by appealing to the American market.
But I would have to agree with you guys: this game is way too Americanized and I am born and raised in the surfer/skater culture of Southern California lol. I do get the Tony Hawk feel as well and both games exaggerate American culture TBH. However, all of the cheesyness gets turned off during the race and it feels like a real rally. If you can look past the cheese in the menus, pre race, finish, then this is definitely a good rent. The only reason I won't drop $66 on this is because F3 comes out in a couple of months.
That was funny in the china gameplay 1. "WHAT THE?!?!"
I considered buying it cause my retailer sells it for just 45€, but the American event in the demo was so boring I couldn't imagine doing them on a regular basis in the full game. Reading that point to point races only make up 20% of the game, I'm glad I passed.
