I still find Dirt 2 to be the most visually pleasing racing game so far this gen for a couple diff reasons. I hope they can up the bar even more this time around and I'm really looking forward to the more varied locals and such.
The physics might not be that brilliant but the overall fun factor for the first two was high enough to make it a worth while experience IMO.

Let's hope this is less "extreme!!!!! attitude" crap and more focused on what makes racing so much fun.

It seems to me like they've gone a bit too crazy/fake with the body roll of the cars. We'll have to wait and see I guess.

You've got that from these images? (Just because I don't think that can be judged from them since you don't really know what action is going on)

Anyway I'm sure this will be another great entry in the series, especially now that they have added more rally events.

Looks great, hopefully better than the mediocre Dirt 2

never been a fan of the style of codemasters games, bloom central with some crappy de-saturation filter. and the less said about their office chair handling the better. but the promise of more REAL rally has me intrigued enough to rent it.

I'm definately with UKHardcore tho, i hope it's not as 'meh' as DiRT 2 was. and please, for the love of god, drop the yank commentators praising or slating you ever 5 minutes. and ditch the crappy extreme veneer DiRT 2 had. DiRT 1 was clean and stylish in it's presentation. DiRT2 looked like some 12 year old skaterboy designed it.

The reflections in F1 2010 are absolutely gorgeous, however.

Haven't had time to play that one. I realize Dirt 2 isn't the best on a technical level, I just really like the style and effects they use to give certain locals such a great look to them.

I know the bloom and such isn't for everyone, I just personally really like the way it all comes together. Some tracks aren't so great, but some are just stunning IMO.

What's up?
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I don't know why Cliffy left when LawBreakers looks like exactly the kind of game that he would have made at Epic :D (11 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I think Paragon is their biggest in house project so it's been moving a bit quicker than everything else. (19 minutes ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog fortnite was announced what? 6 years ago? it was supposed to be one of the very first "next gen" games...granted they never specified which gen. lol (20 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I think the constant development of Unreal Engine counts as being productive too. Heck it's the same with Valve. They are making games. Just not the games people who are complaining want to play. (20 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @KORNdog: Paragon was released as an alpha.. it's already come a long way. They are a bit slow though. I mean.. lord know what the deal w/ Fortnite is. UT is more of a passion project though. (21 minutes ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog but i guess they make an engine that's used pretty much everywhere. so they don't need to be that productive. kinda like valve having steam. . (23 minutes ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog tbh epic have slowed to a crawl since they stopped with gears. they seem to be taking forever with everything. even paragon seem to be in perpetual beta mode. (23 minutes ago)
