Dishonored 2 on PS4 Pro

Dishonored 2 on PS4 Pro

As announced by Bethesda recently, we only received our copies of Dishonored 2, on PS4 and PC. We haven't had time to check out the latter yet, though what we've heard about it isn't too promising in terms of performace, but here are a few videos captured on Playstation 4 Pro.

I'm playing it on the Pro, and it's pretty stable. I haven't seen any distracting framerate drops so far.
The blocking system with the sword is pretty tricky though. Enemy attacks are pretty fast, so you have to be really precise to time your block. But it makes it much more intense to engage in sword fights.
If you like stealth gamepkay in first person, this is the game for you. It feels like an improved Dishonored to me. I hope the story and gameplay deliver further as I'm progressing through the campaign.
I don't understand why there were no review copies handed out though...

Is there an FOV slider and if no is the default FOV good at least? I sometimes get a little motion sickness with first person games that have narrow fov especially ones with platforming

Hi, I'm not sure if you play on PC or console(s), but for people who get easily affected by FoV constraints, I always recommend playing games on PC whenever possible since almost all games allow you to change either the Field of View or the Camera settings in multiple ways:

- Officially through Display/Graphic settings;
- Unnoficially through a hack or .ini file setting;
- Through mods (The Witcher 3, for example);
- Using Cheat Engine (again, The Witcher 3);
- Using Flawless Widescreen;
- Through game-specific/fan-made softwares (AC: Unity/Syndicate).

I'm sure there's more options, but those are the only ones I remembered at the moment.

Another great thing about PC gaming is that there's G-Sync (from Nvidia) and FreeSync (from AMD) capable PC monitors, which greatly help alleviate motion sickness. They are a little more expensive than PC monitors without them, but you can't put a price on health and comfort, so they're well worth the price difference.

Last, but not least, not all PC monitors are "Flicker Free", and those without it do exacerbate eye strain, tired eyes, dizziness, migraines, headaches, nausea, and many other unpleasant symptoms, which can hasten the appearance of motion sickness indirectly.

About the game

What's up?
  • GriftGFX
    GriftGFX I liked the first one. The cover system works okay in elimination deathmatch. I'm not a fan of sticky cover as a rule though. Especially now that many games have done contextual auto cover that works. (29 minutes ago)
  • Tinks
    Tinks I guess so? It's been a long time since I played one to be fair (38 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
    GriftGFX Yea.. that's what Gears of War is. (1 Hour ago)
  • Tinks
    Tinks also GOW looked interesting from some of the competitive matches I saw. But lots of weird sticky cover play (1 Hour ago)
  • Tinks
    Tinks just started playing the Forest today and sunk too much time with my buddy. WOOF that game is fun (2 Hours ago)
  • scoobs0688
    scoobs0688 New enemy types, namely the Snatchers, Pouncers, and Carriers were aggressively unfun to fight. Still a good game, not a great game by any means. 7/10 (3 Hours ago)
  • scoobs0688
    scoobs0688 The new characters mostly uninteresting and their chatter during the game annoying at times. Marcus/Cole/Baird was very fun. Giant robots super fun. Wind mechanic way overused. (3 Hours ago)
