Dishonored 2 on PS4 Pro

Dishonored 2 on PS4 Pro

As announced by Bethesda recently, we only received our copies of Dishonored 2, on PS4 and PC. We haven't had time to check out the latter yet, though what we've heard about it isn't too promising in terms of performace, but here are a few videos captured on Playstation 4 Pro.

I'm playing it on the Pro, and it's pretty stable. I haven't seen any distracting framerate drops so far.
The blocking system with the sword is pretty tricky though. Enemy attacks are pretty fast, so you have to be really precise to time your block. But it makes it much more intense to engage in sword fights.
If you like stealth gamepkay in first person, this is the game for you. It feels like an improved Dishonored to me. I hope the story and gameplay deliver further as I'm progressing through the campaign.
I don't understand why there were no review copies handed out though...

Is there an FOV slider and if no is the default FOV good at least? I sometimes get a little motion sickness with first person games that have narrow fov especially ones with platforming

Hi, I'm not sure if you play on PC or console(s), but for people who get easily affected by FoV constraints, I always recommend playing games on PC whenever possible since almost all games allow you to change either the Field of View or the Camera settings in multiple ways:

- Officially through Display/Graphic settings;
- Unnoficially through a hack or .ini file setting;
- Through mods (The Witcher 3, for example);
- Using Cheat Engine (again, The Witcher 3);
- Using Flawless Widescreen;
- Through game-specific/fan-made softwares (AC: Unity/Syndicate).

I'm sure there's more options, but those are the only ones I remembered at the moment.

Another great thing about PC gaming is that there's G-Sync (from Nvidia) and FreeSync (from AMD) capable PC monitors, which greatly help alleviate motion sickness. They are a little more expensive than PC monitors without them, but you can't put a price on health and comfort, so they're well worth the price difference.

Last, but not least, not all PC monitors are "Flicker Free", and those without it do exacerbate eye strain, tired eyes, dizziness, migraines, headaches, nausea, and many other unpleasant symptoms, which can hasten the appearance of motion sickness indirectly.

    Megido The problem with MGS 2 is that you hate all the characters, and the villains are retarded. Then you beat the game in 2 hours if you skip all the codec speak. (5 Hours ago)

    nostradamus lukeward destination visually and there isn't much sandbox to the level the tanker level had. still great, freakin 60fps and probably some of the best visuals, effects in any game to that date. (7 Hours ago)

    nostradamus the problem i had with mgs2 was that the tabker level was in itself a freaking great sandbox demo and one would imagen where on manhattan the full fledge game would take us. then the big shell is a (7 Hours ago)

    nostradamus @Megido: errr... no. it has long cutscenes, yes, but there is a lot of meat to the game compared to say, MGS:TEA where you beat the game in less than 10 hours and there still is a lot of cutscenes. (7 Hours ago)
