E3: Army of Two images

E3: Army of Two images

EA were kind of quiet this year at the conference, but Army Of Two had at least some images released to the press.

There are some jaggies in the artwork -- just a side effect of being poorly resized.

Perhaps I'm looking at something different, but there are definitely small areas (especially in the first piece) that have artifacts as a result of resizing. It's pretty common when scaling down 2D artwork.. I'm not talking about the brush strokes themselves, but small uniformed jaggies. I thought that's what he was pointing out.

Only small areas are effected, it doesn't look like part of the original image -- and as an artist I've encountered this effect a good number of times myself. I don't think those are brush strokes.

Just one question... When did they start developping this game?? This art has been done in 2005??
is that possible?? Why didn't wee see this image earlier?? Strange....
Hmm... The image is a JPG, there are always quality losses by saving in that format!

@GriftGFX, you get the same effect if you blur an images in some way and then sharpen it. Leave the 'I'm an artist' part. I'm one too, and an actor.

Tiz @GriftGFX: I think MS were in full on panic mode because they wanted to add value to their box, so they showed everything. (12 Hours ago)

GriftGFX Yeah they just need to actually implement some of that stuff. They're charting an interesting path. I feel like they showed this game off before they knew what it was. (12 Hours ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz For instance, in Destiny, the whole point of getting loot is to get better equipped to do raids for better equipment to do raids for better equipment and sometimes Iron Banner. (12 Hours ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz @GriftGFX: It really depends how they approach it. If you can upgrade your ship, crew etc to navigate more dangerous parts of the sea then it will be a dangling carrot scenario. (12 Hours ago)

Tiz Also, like the Division you have to cash in the loot before people steal it for themselves. The Division ran into the problem of just allowing anyone in the instances. (12 Hours ago)
