The quite controversial David Jones's Crackdown is back in video, with a 20 minutes long presentation. Here is the first half. More details below.
The developers spent most of the presentation showing us some of the "sandbox" aspects of the game. No missions, no story, no cutscenes to be seen in there. You'll just see the main character jumping everywhere, generating as much mayhem as possible and of course some car sequences, this is a GTA-like game after all. Personally I still have some reservations about this game, but it's so over the top that it could become very amusing. At least it will be if the devs take the time to rework the animation so we do not have this rather annoying feeling that this game is using the moon's gravity instead of earth's.
Technically as you'll be able to see by yourself it's much better than before. The game is smooth, the physics engine works nicely, the draw distance is ok and the city seems quite alive. We still do not really know what this game will be all about in the end, but we'll keep an eye open since it definitely has some potential.
quite suitable for game pass I'd say. Plus MS could use some decent story tellers, lol. (1 minute ago)
@Seth: personally I really liked TWD 2 too and enjoyed 3 as well. Only played the demo of 4 but that had some real nice improvements. Wonder if maybe THQ or MS could pick them up? Their games are (1 minute ago)
@Moonwalker: thats a shame, absolutely loved S01 of TWD and Tales from Borderlands. They did make bunch of duds after that tho. (5 minutes ago)
Bankrupt is what I'm reading. Skeleton crew of 25 will finish TWD and then it's over. No more Wolf Among us 2 and Stranger Things. (11 minutes ago)
Yeah man, Tales from the Borderlands was superb. Fucking loved it (21 minutes ago)
They laid off 250 employees, Jesus. (22 minutes ago)
@Moonwalker: he, beat me to it. ^^ (22 minutes ago)
