BETHESDA SOFTWORKS ANNOUNCES DISHONORED® 2

Highly-Anticipated Follow-Up to Arkane Studios’ 2012 ‘Game of the Year’ Set to Launch Next Spring

June 14, 2015 (Rockville, MD) – Bethesda Softworks®, a ZeniMax® Media company, today announced Dishonored 2, the highly-anticipated first-person action game and follow-up to Dishonored – recipient of over 100 ‘Game of the Year’ awards in 2012. Currently in development by the award-winning team at Arkane Studios, the game is slated for a Spring 2016 release on the Xbox One, PlayStation® 4 computer entertainment system and PC.

In Dishonored 2 the fate of the Isles is left hanging in the balance when the throne is seized by an otherworldly usurper. Reprise your role as a supernatural assassin and play as either Emily Kaldwin or Corvo Attano - both armed with the mark of the Outsider and their own unique set of supernatural abilities, weapons and gadgets. Explore a world unlike any other as you travel beyond the legendary streets of Dunwall to the once-dazzling coastal city of Karnaca. Hunt down your enemies and forever alter the future of the Empire.

“We’re excited for everyone to finally know that we’re hard at work on Dishonored 2,” said Harvey Smith, co-creative director at Arkane Studios. “We’re really looking forward to sharing more details with fans and revealing gameplay for the first time later this summer.”

Define your playstyle in Dishonored 2 by blending immersive first-person action, assassination, stealth, mobility and the game’s brutal combat system. Combine the tools at your disposal to creatively eliminate your enemies whether you choose to pursue them unseen or ruthlessly attack head on with weapons drawn. Show no mercy and leave chaos in your wake or find a more subtle way to eliminate your targets. More than ever, the choices you make will determine the outcome of each mission and ultimately the game.

“At Arkane, we’re passionate about creating deep game experiences in highly-crafted worlds,” said Raphael Colantonio, founder and co-creative director at Arkane Studios. “Returning to the world of Dishonored is both thrilling and rewarding.”

Really liked Dishonored and its story DLCs. Emily's abilities look great. It will be interesting to see how completing missions with her or Corvo, and in different ways will alter the story. If they are very different, I will definitely play it twice - one stealth no-kills run and a guns blazing kill everything run.

Is.. is that Emily on the second screen?
I really need to catch up on my backlog and finish Dishonored.

It looks like my wallet is in a big trouble, when I see the new games coming.

Loved the first one so much. Best news from bethesda for me. Fallouts 2015 release was too obvious. and doom, while looking fun, isn't really what i was expecting.

loved the 1st game this should be good BUT I do hate it when in trailers they go into first person mode to try trick people into thinking the gameplay will actually look almost like that when it wont even look 1/3rd as good

GriftGFX @Sdarts: You're right.. in "relative" terms Quantum Break has terrible performance. (40 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @Tinks: I play a variety of FPS so those kinds of differences are pretty normal to me. And "all the time"? As much as you play OW because you put some insane hours into that :P (41 minutes ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @Megido: Absolutelly agreed on! But Suikoden 2 is on the same league as Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 6, they are some of the best games ever made. (1 Hour ago)

Megido @Sdarts: 5 was better, but not on par with 2. (1 Hour ago)

Sdarts Same for other games as well. Even a GTX 980 has problems with many modern games. And on smaller cases, even GTX 980 Ti as well. I'm sure a GTX 1070 can handle it - with upscaling turned on. (1 Hour ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @droezelke: It's relative, because the GTX 970 isn't what it used to be and is over 2 years old. Not even Rise of the Tomb Raider sustains 1080p@60fps at Ultra settings with a GTX 970. (1 Hour ago)

droezelke @Sdarts: still bad performance (1 Hour ago)
