Highly-Anticipated Follow-Up to Arkane Studios’ 2012 ‘Game of the Year’ Set to Launch Next Spring
June 14, 2015 (Rockville, MD) – Bethesda Softworks®, a ZeniMax® Media company, today announced Dishonored 2, the highly-anticipated first-person action game and follow-up to Dishonored – recipient of over 100 ‘Game of the Year’ awards in 2012. Currently in development by the award-winning team at Arkane Studios, the game is slated for a Spring 2016 release on the Xbox One, PlayStation® 4 computer entertainment system and PC.
In Dishonored 2 the fate of the Isles is left hanging in the balance when the throne is seized by an otherworldly usurper. Reprise your role as a supernatural assassin and play as either Emily Kaldwin or Corvo Attano - both armed with the mark of the Outsider and their own unique set of supernatural abilities, weapons and gadgets. Explore a world unlike any other as you travel beyond the legendary streets of Dunwall to the once-dazzling coastal city of Karnaca. Hunt down your enemies and forever alter the future of the Empire.
“We’re excited for everyone to finally know that we’re hard at work on Dishonored 2,” said Harvey Smith, co-creative director at Arkane Studios. “We’re really looking forward to sharing more details with fans and revealing gameplay for the first time later this summer.”
Define your playstyle in Dishonored 2 by blending immersive first-person action, assassination, stealth, mobility and the game’s brutal combat system. Combine the tools at your disposal to creatively eliminate your enemies whether you choose to pursue them unseen or ruthlessly attack head on with weapons drawn. Show no mercy and leave chaos in your wake or find a more subtle way to eliminate your targets. More than ever, the choices you make will determine the outcome of each mission and ultimately the game.
“At Arkane, we’re passionate about creating deep game experiences in highly-crafted worlds,” said Raphael Colantonio, founder and co-creative director at Arkane Studios. “Returning to the world of Dishonored is both thrilling and rewarding.”

even rare, as shitty as they've become have so many IP's they can draw from as pure fan service, that would boost the brand a ton. a new conker? a new perfect dark? a new banjo (a real one)? (54 minutes ago)
i miss the days when xbox had exclusives like doom 3. riddick. voodoo vince. blood wake. jade empire, KOTOR, morrowind, galleon, jet set radio, republic commando... fuck it, even blinx the cat. (57 minutes ago)
they need fresh blood so to speak. and they need to support them, not send them out to die. and not turn their back on them entirely just because they sold .5 million less than their expectations. (59 minutes ago)
but they can't do that by releasing more versions of the same game. uncharted isn't going to sell a PS4 to someone who hates uncharted. but gravity rush might? maybe last guardian? maybe spiderman? (1 Hour ago)
right now i think it's safe to say MS has fully catered to their own fanbase. but now they need to draw in new players to increase their userbase. (1 Hour ago)
generally though they need more studio's making various titles of various budgets instead of 3 studio's making the same 3 AAA games over and over again. (1 Hour ago)
@MrWhite: generally yeah. i mean, MS need their next gears of war-level success, even if it just becomes an annualized addition to their usual games. but it would be something. (1 Hour ago)
