So PS4 can do PC games on high quality, nice to see.

Riding elephants might be just to get some higher ground rather than doing a whole mission like that. Damn it if I won't try :P

Are you serious? You hope it's nothing like every other Far Cry game that came before it? Far Cry was one of the first open world FPSs out there, and they do it as well as anyone. I don't know why anyone would prefer shooting people in corridors and hallways over near limitless freedom?

You aren't familiar with the franchise, are you?

Why is Far Cry a PC game?
Fast paced first person shooting is ALWAYS better with a mouse at 60fps. Plus, draw distance is a big deal for open world games. Not as much of an advantage on the PC at this point, but just the controls and performance is a huge thing for me in a game that is as dynamic and fast paced and movement-centric as Far Cry is, at least these days (and this is clearly much more of exactly that).

Fantastic. This and AC: unity are probably going to be best games of the year.

Yes I like linear scripted games, I don't like walking for a long time without anything interesting happening, actually I'm the one who doesn't understand how people like openworld games, and nearly every game now is openworld, it's lazy design IMO, it's much harder to make an interesting linear game with good set-pieces and story, I liked The Last of Us more than any open world game.

I agree. I really liked Far Cry 3, but once the missions were completed, it really lost its focus and was no longer fun to play. Got bored really quick. Boundaries are good sometimes.

far cry started out as a PC game which was then ported to consoles, the whole fps genre started out on PC so why should it change now.

well at least they have linear games for people like you that cannot keep themselves entertained while playing video games, people that buy openworld titles generally love making up there own story while playing through campagin at there own pace while doing hundreds hours random stuff on the side, and now with the co-op this game will be even much more fun

This doesn't make any sense. You're saying that once you finish the missions in FarCry 3 it got boring... so if it was a linear game how would it be any different?

I don't think you can co-op through the story, but you can team up & do certain things in sp.

Anyone who has a decent mouse and any experience using it should know that Far Cry 3 has awful input on the PC. It's loaded with negative acceleration/"smoothing" with no option to disable it. The only reason Far Cry 3 is playable at all with a mouse is because it doesn't require a lot of fast/twitch input. I have zero confidence that Far Cry 4 will be any different. All real PC games should support raw mouse input, period.

Btw... I totally agree that it plays better with the mouse despite this shortcoming, but I definitely wouldn't claim that Far Cry is "a PC game" anymore. Far Cry 3 also has a fuggin' clunky controller driven interface on every platform. FC3 was an "okay" console port. Ubisoft has a pretty poor track record on Windows lately.

It changed several years ago.

There are no stupid questions, only stupid people ;)

And it's not really that much of a PC game anymore. People should stop giving this guy such a hard time.

It was never ported for consoles, Farcry PC the original was developed by Crytek. Then Ubisoft bought the licence for the game and "remade" the game for consoles. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Far_Cry
The console version for Xbox was called Far Cry Instincts.

I do not know what is up with the weird spacing above.
