This trailer sucks compared to the live gameplay demonstration we got. This is a weirdly edited mash-up of what was shown in the demo, and it doesn't come off anywhere as impressive as a result.

surprisingly this impressed me. not quite as much as rising, but definitely second on my list for the MS conference. it's no "zomg" looking game, but it makes up for it in it's scope. if that cutscene going into space was in-game (ie. not a pre-rendered video of in-game assets to mask loading times) then that's some impressive tech.

I had no issue with MS's press briefing- from what I saw. But for me, E3 this year is all about "Show me Halo Reach, show me Gears 3 and Fable 3. Show me something on Mass Effect 3 and anything on the next Uncharted. That's it. If they meet those request, I'm very happy. So far- that Reach trailer was THE BOMB for me. Space combat?!?!? Holy shit!!! I'm totally happy with that. The gears stuff looked great... still waiting on the rest.

I guess I just don't "get" Halo. I enjoyed the first game immensely but all the subsequent games have left me unimpressed. This to me just looks like more of the same. The space combat looks nice, but the stuff on the ground just looks a bit dull. Particularly after seeing new the Black Ops trailer.

lol, black ops won't have battles as awesome as displayed in the Reach demonstration, that's for sure.

They surely won't be anywhere quite as challenging either.

Despite how this game has been pitched, there doesn't seem to be much teamwork going on at all... but very little was shown so can't jump to conclusions yet! Looks good though, getting some serious nostalgia going on in the part inside the building towards the end, reminded me of the first level of Halo:CE

has "epic" written all over it. I was watching it live and thinking how awesome it would be if you jumped into that ship and took things to outer space...and they did it! awesome.

Everything just looks very halo yet very refreshing in this world of modern warfare. The scale looks huge..and lets not forget that it's all 4 player co-op

What kind of shitty music was that? I can't believe they'd just put that crap on a Halo game. If there is something Halo (even ODST) has always done right it's music, but then they play this crap? Are you serious? I'm really hoping for something to wow me now to overcome this stuff.

Very underwhelming and slow.

For a game that's supposed to be showing a brutal war it's keeping it dull. Call it epic all you like, but compaired to the Medal of Honor, Gears and even Bulletstorm videos, this game is not hitting the mark it should be. And graphics wise, it's looking extremely flat and unimpressive.

That's just boggling to me. I have such a hard time replaying games like Gears and CoD simply because there's no variation from one play through to the next. It all gets quite dull. All the crazy stuff that happens in those games is just scripted. With Halo, it's the exact opposite. The AI, physics, weapons, and vehicles allow for a ton of variation where unexpected things can happen.
