I've added a little more info in the news ;)
If so, I am interested!
On the images I dont see any of the main characters so I assume yes.
We have yet to get a proper game from this rich and great universe, nobody can seem to really nail it.
I think it was LOTR Conquest? had shitty combat, the melee was aweful, too clunky and annoying.
Hopefully this one does it right :)
Question: Is this the game were you can create your own character and play in LOTR universe in a hack and slash RPG style?
Snowblind is known for creating great action-RPGs - Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance remains one of my favourite games on the PS2 - so I expect this one to be decent. Whether it'll do the material justice remains to be seen though.
The graphics don't look particularly impressive on the basis of these screens, but in Gamespot's demo impressions they said that the visuals were looking pretty sharp, so maybe these pictures just aren't very flattering - screenshots rarely are I guess.
I havent played Dark Alliance :(
But in short, how much of a customization are we talking about?
Face customization, hair colors and style...etc. Mass Effect depth or Dragons Age?
Also the camera, is it your typical behind the character combat or is it from above?
I assume from above.
I like games were it takes places in the same universe as a movie or comic, but it is alternated, like Star Wars TFU.
I just hope the combat is great and there is loot hunting LOL
I have no idea what this game will entail in terms of customising your base character, but there's a chance it'll allow for facial customisation. It sounds as though the Human will be the 'Wizard' class, the Elf will be the 'Ranged' class and the Dwarf will be the 'Warrior' class, although apparently there will be some degree of flexibility in your character's skills and abilities - in other words, I think they're saying that if you choose to be the Human race, you can still develop him to be accomplished at close combat (I hope that's what it means anyway).
Snowblind's games are traditionally from an isometric angle - i.e. from above (Diablo-esque) - and I doubt this'll be any different.
I hope it'll be good, I really do. In other news, The Lord of the Rings: Online will be free to play starting from this Fall, so if this game fails I always have that to fall back on for my LOTR game fix.
