Snoopers, our intrepid journalist, sent me this gameplay video of Resistance. He also told me that he found the game very nice looking and that it was running very smoothly, but that it was also very boring to play.
Hmm... Yeah, pretty much every source has said that the gameplay is stale.
I guess they´ll focus on improving it in the next few months after the feedback they´re getting.
I´m personally still very excited for this game, and it´s gonna be one of the first ones I buy for my PS3.
A lot of good stuff going on there. Probably on uber easy, so I wont say anything about the gameplay other than the level being shown, at that difficulty level, requires no skill and no strategy at all. But my experience is: E3 and game demos frequently are very easy because the gamer has 10 minutes to get an impression of the game, and dieing is no fun. Gameplay will be vital to differentiate this title from the hoard of FPS. It looks great, moves well, is an interesting theme. Looking forward to reviews in the future and hearing more about what makes it different and not run-and-gun.
Guys on walls, tall skinny dude assaulting a friendly troop, kitch scene. Very grey game. Reminds me of black in many ways. Nice particles, run and gun it seems from the video.
I like the fact that it is greyish, makes the world look much more realistic.
That's what bothers me with a lot of xbox360 titles, too much (unrealistic) colour.
Yeah, I got the impression from the Press conference footage that the game was a little stale. Not the best demo to show. I hope more attention to the story is made 'cause it would be a shame to put all these great visuals to waste.
