E3: Shadowrun in motion

E3: Shadowrun in motion

Let's continue with the other game on the Microsoft booth that definitely did not get a lot of praises: Shadowrun. What a trainwreck of a game this seems be, that's just mindblowing.

It looks like an even worse version of Perfect Dark Zero.

Next-Gen's all about the graphics for some people. As this is a multiplayer shooter I'm keen to see how it turns out. It COULD take Xbox Live by storm if it shapes up.

Seriously, who's in charge of this game? It looks NOTHING like the game(s) I grew up with, and hardly at all like the art I find on Google.

*sigh* I was really looking forward to a Deus Ex'ish game too.

As was I, but FASA is known for their good multiplayer (crimson skies), so I'm keeping faith.

Can't believe Microsoft bothered securing this title.

Go pay for Project Offset Arse for god sake!

Look at the video and I promise you that you'll know what I'm talking about aren´t just the crappy graphics.

hmm time will tell suppose we should give it a chance, i mean it is not the finished game so lets hope it is not the azurik of 360 *shudders*

I for one, think that it looks promising as a multiplayer game with teleportation and holograms ... it could be awesome.

This is the game you can play with other people on the PC can't you? IMO that sucks since the PC users have an advantage with mouse and keyboard.

Looks so bad it hurts.

I don't like the way people say it's not about the graphics, in that case why buy the next gen, it has the power to do some crazy visuals so why not, and yes gamplay is the most inportant but if graphics are not your thing stick with the old skool then. Bring on the Wii.

it has while to go in development - this isnt scheduled until after vista comes out in spring 2007 so they have almost a year left to add graphical features and polish

if the gameplay is solid then im happy at this point. id rather it look like that and play well then play like crap but look super - the foundations of a game should always be how it plays and then up the graphics

a game can be great with ok graphics but a great looking game can be crap with poor gameplay

*watches through fingers*....*cringes*

For a franchise that the Matrix idea was just a small part of.
This seems to be a very lazy way to go.
Much, much more is needed....please

Hey did you's see Justcause??? omg, it's huge like Oblivion is 16 square miles this is over 320. How the heck will they fit it on the disc?? and it does'nt look like it has many pop up problems well compared to Oblivion gameplay look ace too. Seems alot of fun.

Like I said, Halo 2 looks better, and that's sad no matter what the game does/is/wants to be.

Honestly, I think this game looks like a real fun multiplayer game, I love the whole magic vs guns style and if its balanced and gets some graphical touch ups before next spring/summer, it could be a fantastic multiplayer game.

dude.. they been working on this title for more than 2 years.. and if u saw the interviews on xbox live marketplace... this is almost the finished product... Fasa... you guys have lost it...

This freakin' wall, 0:34 into the movie, takes the price:

Dammit. This E3 was where Microsoft was supposed to show some new franschises, to show that they're not afraid of doing something new. And here we are, this game and then the like 10-year-long-development of Too Human. I thank you Alan Wake, it saved the expo for me.

Hey Manager, that's a wall using Bump Mapping!!!! It looks awful. The price was won by this:

He's counting the polygons, 1 for each finger!!! 5 polygons total for his hand!

I thought microsoft first party FPS is pretty solid already...why more of this stuff? Why turn a RPG into FPS?
Commented on 2006-05-15 22:55:15
I think that Shadowrun should go TPS/FPS deep RPG with online mutliplayer deathmatch or co-op against the AI, in campagin with rich story and huge variety. I said in the beginning that Hellgate London was gonna be awesome for the PC and I hoped Shadowrun was going to be something like HL but for the 360 and PC. But they screwd up the game to a FPS with poor graphics and all.

We have tons of shooter, Gears of War, Halo, COD, Prey, PDZ...etc. tons, but yet it still they keep doing it. I have no problems with FPS at all. If they gonna do FPS make it unique, make it right. Sure Shadowrun has magic with shooter aspect, but atleast make the gameplay more exciting. I dont get it why people keep comparing Shadowrun to Counter-Strike. It is without the doubt not close to eachother yet they compare. I would compare it to Unreal, because it hell of a fast paste FPS shooter along with magic, in it.

I am not gonna buy this game until they change the run-and-gun to FPS/TPS or TPS RPG with story and all. If not then this game will be off my list to buy.

About the game

What's up?
  • HR2
HR2 @droezelke: an even better choice would be Paul Rudd, he would be perfect (26 minutes ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke @HR2: Chris Pratt would be just as good. :-) (27 minutes ago)
  • HR2
HR2 @droezelke: then I think we would be wrong to complain about this one, this is the only role he was born to play, if anything he should have adopted different acting methods for his other roles (28 minutes ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke I have the same issue with Chris Pratt. In Parcs and rec, I saw his character. But ever since, I can only see him as his character in parcs and rec. In Passengers, he almost succeeded. (47 minutes ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke I never see a character, I see Nathan. Good actors make me forget for a while who plays the character. Know what I'm trying to say? (49 minutes ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke When I see or hear him, I always think: that's Nathan and I keep seeing Nathan. He doesn't make me forget himself. (51 minutes ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke @HR2: Fillion might be a decent voice actor, but I don't consider him as a good actor. (53 minutes ago)
