As much as I like this game the blur filter they are using is horrible, why go HD and then make it pointless with blurring it out, I don't understand :S

Horribly blurred…
Beside that it looks decent.

shame about the daft dialog during combat.. they could atleast keep thinks in the moment and use it to add intensity to comabat.. they might as well be talking about the weather with the dialog thats in there at the moment

Heh I was thinking about that too, hopefully we have an option to turn it off.

On an hdtv the characters standout and don't look blurred. It's a nice contrast with the environments.

The characters don't look blurred to me. What does look blurred are the backgrounds and other parts of the environment, but the characters pop more to me.

Perhaps, blurred in comparison to how things were handled in Eternal Sonata, but definitely not blurry to the point that they destroy what is otherwise a great looking game. If I watch a video on my pc then yea I would agree that all of it looks blurred, but it definitely doesn't come across that way on my hdtv.

It's probably because my backlight and contrast are maxed out and I have my color settings to cool. The characters definitely don't seem blurred on my set.

Well I 'm not guna argue over it, doesn't matter if I watch the videos or play the demo it looks blurry and yes in comparison to ES.

I know exactly what it is though if you check other Team Symphonia games they have this blur to them, they seem to like it for some reason :S

Hopefully US version is region free, however I highly doubt that because if you look provious titles from Namco :)

I think Ubisoft are publishing the European version, the chances of the Us version being region free are extremely small,

I tried the demo. I couldn't sit through it, the dialogue is painfully bad.

I love the whole blur, The dialogue in english is painful! But I hope they allow Japanese voices and english subtitles. Even as a download like Naruto - Rise of a Ninja.

Simple, the US and Japan release is in the end of august, the EU release is confirmed to be early 2009.

It's soft focus, not blur. I think this looks even better than Eternal Sonata because there seem to be more keyframes (therefore better animation) and things like cloth and hair move a lot better.

Yes animation is much better, but the graphical looks isn't anywhere close to ES sadly, looks like you can;t have both.

360 is rolling in rpg greatness

About the game

What's up?
  • KORNdog
KORNdog @crookedmind: higher framerates = more responsive controls. pitting someone with a 25-30 fps version of BF4 with someone with a 50-60 fps version of BF4 would be pretty unfair. (1 minute ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @Tiz: I only played the Campaign in the Gears games, so can't say anything about Multiplayer. But Campaign wise, I stand by my previous comments. (1 Hour ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz Judgement wasn't all bad though. Overrun is better than Horde and I wished if there was one thing the Coalition kept from Judgement, it was that. Instead of treating it like a horrid bastard child. (2 Hours ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz @Sdarts: Judgement changed too much. Stim grenades that gave you double life in gun fights wat? Ink downed you in a second? Verticality in Gears maps? Jumping off rooftops? (2 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @Tiz: Gears of War: Judgement was a refinement of the Gears 3 formula, and was a great game in its own right. (4 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @Phaethon360: I completely disagree with you. Gears 2 was shit, while Gears 3 was an excellent game. (4 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I still think the iOS UX is inferior to both stock android and several android launchers. (6 Hours ago)
