E3: THQ Nordic to publish Wreckfest

In early access since 2014, Bugbear's demolition derby game Wreckfest will finally get a full release this year on PC and in 2018 for console versions thanks to THQ Nordic who partnered with the developer. The game will receive first many updates in the following months, including career mode, car customization, more cars and tracks and a new multiplayer server.

True successor for the original PS1 classic Destruction Derby. This is a really fun, and very underlooked racing title. I hope it sells well.

Yeah, couple of years. It was an early access thing. A bit of a passion project like Dirt Rally was. It's got everything you'd want from a game of this sort, though. All it was lacking was a comprehensive career mode and a few different gameplay variations.

I hope this comes with the flatout style minigames, like high jump etc. They were honestly the best part of the old games.

About the game

What's up?
  • Tinks
Tinks I didn't understand why he played so poorly either though. Subasic has been amazing the rest of the tourney. A big reason they won against Denmark and Russia (15 Hours ago)
  • Tinks
Tinks @MrWhite: I agree. Penalty like that shouldn't happen in a WC final. Croatia's keeper was screened for almost all of those goals, aside from the deflection (15 Hours ago)
  • nostradamus
nostradamus @Melmoth: oh god, that is amazing. the sounds and visuals are insane for a sim. (15 Hours ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite @droezelke: For both them? Mbapp was 20 odd yards out. His positioning was shite. Should never have let that one past him. (15 Hours ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke If FIFA didn't object so long to get a VAR, the concept could have been bug-fixed 10 years ago. (16 Hours ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke @Tinks: The VAR is an exvellent tool, but the rules applied to the VAR are restricting them from intervening. Also, the hands-rule is so ill defined that it's completely open to interpretation. (16 Hours ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke Then the shot came and as he tried to correct to the right, he was leaning on the wrong leg and went out of balance. (17 Hours ago)
