Yet another Viking trailer

Yet another Viking trailer

Sega releases its monthly Viking: Battle For Asgard trailer, subtitled in french. I've had the occasion to try the game for about an hour, and I can say that Creative Assembly have a very promising title in their hands.

Looks very good, just my type of game. Very cool settings and thematics. Only Scarin's running animations are... nargh ^^ For the rest I can't wait this game. A DEMO, please Sega!

I think it must be the old Viking lifestyle; all that raping must be tough on the loins! :D

I am really looking forward to this game, the immersion factor looks to be there, the style is solid, let's hope the gameplay matches up!

Fingers crossed...

This looks like it could be one of those that isn't in the limelight yet delivers fully.

Really looking forward to it though, looks qualit-aayyyyy.

Is it just me or did they totally steal the narration style of 300? Meh in all honesty, a demo would be nice.

bleachedsmiles i hear they're making a new Duke Nukem game (0 minute ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Oh it's still very playable, it just doesn't really evoke the same things it used to. Its approach to interaction was a HUGE DEAL, and that part of it is disappearingly tame now. (1 minute ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I've only played it on PC, but I can't imagine that the XBLA was significantly rougher. I mean, Doom worked on XBLA, and was still mighty playable... so I'm surprised Duke isn't. (2 minutes ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 ...I have a lot of respect and fond memories of all those games. They were made with a sense of glee and genuine excitement that you *don't find* anymore. Except in No More Heroes or something. (3 minutes ago)

bleachedsmiles or something completely terrible..relying on cheap thrills or naughty words and naked women. Although it is time we had our protagonist start saying cheesy lines after every kill (3 minutes ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Surprisingly well isn't well enough to play it a whole lot though. I dunno, to each his own obviously but I kinda thought it'd hold up better. The XBLA version was a rude awakening. Regardless... (3 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Man, Monolith rocked the 90's so hard. Blood--NOLF--Shogo! They need to revisit some of those properties. (4 minutes ago)
