FFXIII-2: The Moogle revealed

FFXIII-2: The Moogle revealed

Square Enix has published 3 new Screenshots of Final Fantasy XIII-2 showing off the Moogle. It will help you find hidden treasures.
Update: new Screens and details added.

The moogle
A mysterious little creature, he makes himself useful by transforming into a weapon for Serah's use. No one knows much about this strange animal who calls himself her guardian.

People were led to believe that moogles don't exist, and those who meet him for the first time assume he is merely a stuffed animal.

Although shy at first, once he opens up, he is quite the chatterbox, teaching Serah and Noel all about the world and its history.

Important thing for ME is that party members to have option on how to do battle properly, i lose a lot of missions because they cannot focus on one enemy. I hope in Versus a lot.

Bizarrely crude visuals on those exterior locations. Like a bad MMO from 10 years ago.

average yes, crude? no, 10 years ago? no.

The seaside area there needs polish, but its an improvement over FFXIII. There are 10 more screens out there.

10 years ago? Really? You need glasses.

Anyway, this moogle thing could be fun if done correctly. I just hope it doesn't get annoying. :)

I'm inclined to agree. Those rock textures in picture 2 look like they're from Morrowind. FFXII had better texture work than that.

Look at this and tell me it's not better.

Dont let a few shit textures distract you that much... Besides, its not like this is the finished product.

Are you guys comparing a PS3 game to a PS2 game again?

That's a good start, having them return. Those textures are rough but, square is more concerned about the overall quality of the world i think.

There aer bad textures in any game let alone game like RPG or JRPG. This will be a pretty looking game

About the game

What's up?
  • Sdarts
Sdarts If it was, that would be great as there would be no need to buy a HDR TV to watch HDR content as any SDR screen would be able to show HDR the same as HDR screens. I wish it was like that though. (1 Hour ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts Mostly what you can see is a richer color palette due to a wider color gamut and bloom/brightness. Though it's not the same, unfortunately. (1 Hour ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts You can see it here in both the "Nano Cell" and "HDR" sections on this LG TV: [url] It's still not the same as watching in person. SDR screens can't show HDR. (1 Hour ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @Moonwalker: Yes, you can see a difference, but only on colors and bloom. It's the same type of thing that TV manufacturers use to describe what HDR is with images. same. (1 Hour ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker @droezelke: Trust me though, the phone camera photos are pretty representatitve of how they look here. (6 Hours ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker @droezelke: Yeah my bad. But i fixed it: [url] (6 Hours ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke @Moonwalker: That's not a fair comparison. You show an absolute in-game compared to a photo of a TV screen. If I take a picture of my tv... (7 Hours ago)
