Page 1 2 3 >>Can't be a relealistic boxing match, if you don't see Don kings stupid hair.
I hope the penthouse is back aswell, it was like fighting for an uber rich supervillain
Now that I think about it, its very possible some low level graphics monkey was told to simulate a depth of field effect in photoshop, and didnt know what he was doing.
The depth of field effect is too dramatic right now. Just like HDR in the Source engine, it doesn't blend properly with the other effects. The HDR in this, however, looks great. i guess when you're in the ring, the view will focus on the tow fighters, and everything else will be hazed out a little, so the effect will be tailored for closer situations.
they totally screwed up depth of field. focus blur is relative to the distance of the object from the lens. It is absolutely impossible to get a full blur going directly around the ring on all sides, and get the ring perfectly in focus like in those screenies.

The game looks incredible!
Something I have no problem with, I want this game!
Wow guess some people are never going to be satisfied unless everything looks as real as real life.... In motion you will appreciate that blur it'll give the game a more realistic look. You see how some parts are blurred as you and the other fighter go around the ring places that were initially blurred will then become more visible its obvious just by seeing that some of the crowd is clear and the rest is blurred. The focus isn't suppose to be on the crowd its on the ring it self.
I'm buying this game and I can't believe it since I'm not really a boxing fan. But the gameplay is solid, the create a boxer is going to be hilarious (The mode in tiger woods already was, I can't imagine how fun this new mode will be). And there's also online, so this will last me for some time.
All of this use of the blur effect is for a reason and i'm positive it can only be truly appreciated when in motion. Keep in mind this crowd wont just be staying in one spot not moving if the fight is boring you will see people getting up and walking out they have alot of things that will be taking place in the crowd so the reason they are putting this effect around them is because they are also apart of the game they aren't just there to be fillers.
Lebato, the flags sway in the new videos :)
davidnay you see it as sloppy because you aren't seeing this in motion during the game.
