I am all for the "dark theme" but yet "good hearted" type of guy, he hits the nail perfectly.

I know this may old to most JRPG fans, but I read that this guy may not be the main character we will be able to control, just aplace holder and they might change it.

About the combat, why can't Japanese devs make these type of looking art in their games but add combat like DMC and Ninja Gaiden, it so writtens "re-construct my combat system" :D

I will say the samething I said in the other thread about FF XII.

If the combat plays somewhat real like PSU or Eternal Sonata were we can run around, "hit" a button to attack, but still got that RPG to compliment the combat then I am all for it.

But if its like Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey with command menu stuff, then no, I wont get it.

I love this trailer.
Very interesting insight on the character - he seems lonely and cold just like most of the FF main characters. I hope, as Sath said, it's a decent fighting system like Eternal Sonata or similar.

The character is very good looking too, brooding and dark - grey hair that makes me want it too, as well as a very up-to-date teen culture hair style. (In Japan, anyway)

Cid is the only guy I think found the only barber that can make a good hair cut, hes my favorite. Only character that is close to realistic, and look like an actual guy, next up is the black guy, Barrett?

PS. Give Cid a sword or a gun or even cool dual daggers, I always hated sticks as weapon, its just boring.

It wasn't a stick it was a lance, and from what I remember he could do some of the best damage in the game with it.

Anyways Trailer looks good, music is awesome.

Yay. I laugh at the people saying this looks good...well no...you think!? Cg has that effect. I dig the style, i don't dig however the Advent Children level of rediculous wire fu happening, that sucks, i thought this was going to be more believable but i'll judge when i see some Gameplay.

I saw the "fantasy meets reality" thinghy, then I expected a sober and not so "over the top" kind of Final Fantasy, but... who am I kiddin'... samo' samo'

but Final Fantasy has never been real...thats why its called Final "Fantasy" lol. It said a "Fantasy Based on Reality" so it probably was influenced by real life events but still is not gonna be completley realistic...who knows, it might only be humans and wont have running cacti :)

what they mean by based on reality is that the game has a realistic setting (Cars Buildings very Tokyo looking)

More modern doesnt necessarily mean more realistic. Besides arent there enough games out that are photorealisitc, why the hell should this game be one of them. Anyone hoping for a less over the top final fantasy is fooling themselves. I wouldnt have it any other way.
