Final Fantasy XII: Day two

Final Fantasy XII: Day two

As our friends Bebpo and Maskrider have quite a few more hours of gameplay time on Final Fantasy XII, it's to be expected that their new videos may have a few spoilers. They will try to preserve as much surprises as possible of course. Anyway, let's start with this long compilation of cutscenes, by Bebpo.
Update : Added a city tour by Bebpo
Update 2: Another gameplay video by Bebpo.

Argh, why ps2 has to be so expensive :( Don't know how much it costs in US, but here in finland it's 160 euros, while xbox costs only 99 euros :(

EDIT: So in dollars it would be ~ ps2: 195 xbox: 120 Thats quite a big difference.

I'm not big on Final Fantasy, but I loved FF9. FF12 reminds of me of FF9 in some ways, but I don't think I'll end up buying this one unless it's being done by the same team.

Im not sure if its done by the same team, but this one actually plays really different from previous FF, and it got a perfect score from Famitsu which is extremely rare. I think its gonna be a fantastic game.

I really like the battle system I can't wait to see how sakaguchi handles the battle system for blue dragon. Also eager to see all the different types of shadows you can create from combining shadows.

Got it this morning it's more like a starwars RPG than a traditional FF game.

Very cool though, the gambit system went totally over my head, if you set it up wrong your party will end up killing each other LOL, you can buy new gabit cards from a shop to set up charcters with semi-AI routines during battle. (example to heal when party members are below 30% HP)

You also have a grid like FF10 that you can build you charcters to be melee or magic or both, which ever you prefer, evertime you kill something you get LP points which you spend on upgrading your character via the grid.

You have different part's of the grid for mail armor, cloth armor, staff, axe, sword, bow, gun, white magic, black mage, red magic (whatever that is), green magic amongst other stuff, so even charcters that aren't suppose to use certain weapons, armor or magic types can be upgrade to use them if you like.

It's taking me forever to figure out what im supposed to do because there is so much Japanese text, i'm kinda wondering around talking to anyone hoping they will point me in the right direction..

there is a lot of aliasing and the load times while short are extremely frequent...it could get a bit annoying

About the game

What's up?

Sdarts @Moonwalker: I have heard a lot of people say the contrary, though almost all of them said it stopped being fun after 40 hours or so. Hopefully, TCGR:W's developers do a much better job. (1 minute ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker @Sdarts: The Division sure didn't do that for us. Have not played the latest DLC though. (31 minutes ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts A lot of times, co-op can turn a boring single player campaign into a very fun one. More often than not. (34 minutes ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @Moonwalker: If you're playing with friends or, to a certain degree, even with strangers, then most missions might not feel like a "bore". (35 minutes ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker As for Ghost Recon, it's not that I dislike everything about it but I don't know about that open world. How many of those missions until it becomes a complete bore? (1 Hour ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker Ah yes I look forward to Little Nightmares as well. Looks really cool. (1 Hour ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker Still have plenty in my backlog too, such as Witcher 3 and the two Fallout 4 DLC s and more. If I had a PS4 I would look forward to a lot. But that's the thing I doubt I'm getting one this year. (1 Hour ago)
