The Summons are underwheleming to say the least.
Bad cast… bad, bad, bad cast… I can’t get over it… I have to kill myself.
One thing. The low poly handle bar on the "bike". Other than that, it looks INCREDIBLE.
I really dug the environments but the character desing isn't for my taste. Hope the characters themselves are interesting and well written..
Also i was kinda hoping seamless transition from exploration/cut-scene to fight mode instead of that typical "flash and camera pans over fightin area"-type of solution but maybe it's not possible cos' perhaps the combat-mode's character-models are different from their exploration and cut-scene counterparts (less polys etc.) ? - But seamless transition would have made the game look more fluid and more "modern" in a way.
But im glad to see that the game runs wel, and looks nice and the combat is fluid etc. This will be the very first JRPG im bying this gen.
The game looks great but I myself cant stand the Shiva-Motocycle. Too creepy, dont like those wheels attached to the twins bodies. I prefered the old fashion summons ;( Why cant we get a less mechanized FF... since the series jumped to the 3D era only FFIX has done it... and not too well :(
Well, however - any FF is the game, you must play)
Okay… Snow is not in the sequence but he is in the fight… I hope they fix that.

Practically the only interest I have in the game is in the redhead. She's cute >.<

I think it's time they move on and start a new blockbuster franchise, something with the JRPG genre but mix it up more, turn things on their head. FF7 was a blast, but that was a LONG time ago and none of the games since have come even close to capturing the same magic (in my opinion!!! back off fanboys). I just don't see this game as bringing anything exciting to the genre except for production values, so at least the shallow gamers will be happy....
Just like every final fantasy game, square enix is raising the bar
the crystal tools engine is a beast!
the way he kept riding over the ramp looked ridiculous.
I agree that the cast looks a little odd but a well written script, interesting story and good voice acting (for the English dub) could easily make up for it.
I also try to consider the fact that it's going to be a very long game, probably 100hrs+ we are focusing on single scenes and judging every minute detail. I suspect that the scale of the game would be enough to distract you from any minor faults here and there.
Graphically it looks absolutely phenomenal, particularly the lighting.
By the way,is it just me or is there no sound at all ?
to be honest, i dont think i should have even watched this. the TGS demo is for people at TGS, not for the typical gamer to watch off screen with no sound :|
After watching this I am even more less interested in this game.
