Final Fight Double Impact images

It is now pretty common to see old successful arcade games hit Xbox Live or Playstation Network so it is no surprise to see that Final Fight Double Impact is on its way too. The game will be accompanied by the less famous Magic Sword and should be available in mid April.

Not that i will be getting this anyway, but i seriously hope that the shitty smoothing filter is optional. It looks terrible.

I'd have to say that's the more attractive game of the two, especially if you can play a straight arcade port with no filters.
I have fond memories of watching people play Final Fight, I just never really liked playing it.

Final Fight wasn't really all that advanced other than graphics.Turtles in time as an example had a much larger set of moves you could play around with but FF has only the one punch, flying kick and special.The system in Turtles had you pressing the attacks at certain points in the air and stuff and made for a much more varied and playground type of thing

I like FF a lot but it is fairly lacking if you look at the mechanics

Magic Sword is one of those games not many seem to know about but it' is excellent

Yup and it's using GGPO netcode. The online play should be extremely good and the input should feel instantaneous (since it's registered client-side) and game-state is then set to the other player.
