Xbox 360

After the big success that was the Halo 3 trailer making of, it looks like Microsoft realized this was a cheap and interesting way to renew the interest in their upcoming, so here is a 6 minutes video detailing everything that went in the E3 trailer of Forza 2. That's always interesting to watch.

I always like behind the scenes... looks like that is the new thing that will get completely murdered/hammered into the ground in the industry.

ohwell, It's cool for now.

Too bad there is no in-game footage, or any kind of in-game graphics engine footage. It's no where as cool as the Halo behind the scenes, and not only because they didn't show the real game at all, but because they give absolutely no insight on what was going on with the game......but it is a making of a trailer, a trailer that was not even made by then......how cool is that?

What are you talking about? they just pretty much summed up all features they expect to have in the game once it releases (and the motivation behind them) ... I thought it was very cool !!!

What? No it didn't, because that would be a crappy game if all the features they had were those in that trailer. Like I said, the trailer is only made with "in-game assets", so those are not game's graphics. And I don't need someone to explain the trailer for me, I can do that myself. Not to mention those features shown in the trailer are what we expect already, having played Forza 1--ALL we saw in that trailer we could do in Forza.

Again, they didn't have much to talk about because they either can't or just don't have anything to talk about, after all, they didn't make that trailer themselves.

yeah im thinking the same thing as LEBATO. Why would they do behind the scenes of a CG rendered video? Dont think im gonna watch it, seems like a waste. Games and previews for the 360 are extremely lacking and slow lately. Seems like they're having a lot of "specials" like this, and like the Halo3 and GOW behind the scenes things to fill in for lack of releasing content.

Atleast Halo3 special was using in-game engine.

This Forza BS, however is pretty pointless.

What difference does it make whether or not it's real time? Take it from someone who hasn't even played the original Forza--this video got my attention! I love the trailer too. Makes me anxious to customize my ride and take it online.

OMG, I turned it off at about one third of the video. They make it sound like the trailer was something really special and everybody loved it.

I never heard so much bullshit.
"what this end sequence sums up is being a simulator, you could win by about a foot, and the entire world and environment is centered around that moment" LMAO

Just face it, the trailer was crap, the cgi wasn't even good and it showed nothing about the game that Forza didn't already do.

Yeah. Pre-rendered trailers are not cool. Or documentaries about making of rendered video. Im still going to forgive them for this. Forza1 was easily teh best driving simulator on any console ever, so F2 is going to be HUUUUUUUGE :D
Going to have proper force feedback steering wheel from MS, what was the only thing I actually missed on first Forza game. This christmas is going to be great for forza/driving fans :)

Jees people, chill out.

Its only a trailer. Don't slam the devs for it. It was MS's decision to create and show a CG trailer, not theirs.

I personally thought the trailer was pretty cool. and it would be very difficult to do what they showed in real time anyway. I mean, a car exploding into its tiny little parts then then being replaced, and the whole thing being drawn from a few lines again.

Anyway I think it did an adequate job of introducing some of the core aspects of forza to people who don't really know anything about it.

I couldn't make out everything they wanted to achieve with Forza 2 from just watching the trailer so this was very insightful.

Still not to excited about the game though as I didn't really like the original.
