I have seen some actual gameplay footage somewhere (can't remember where, sorry) and it was dissappointing. What I saw was racing on a closed circuit like in Motorstorm, but not as good as Motorstorm. Maybe this is ONE of the modes to play in, I don't know, but why would they show closed circuit racing when they promote it as a 'free roam' racing game?

Interesting, worth checking out!

all looks good besides the extra long lightning that sticks around for too long.

lol, who chose to use that third screenshot where the handle bar is clipping right through the gas tank...lol

as droezelke said, the gameplay footage looked terrible, with glitchy animations and a generally very unpolished looking game, environment textures and stuff looked good from what you could see (it was cam footage over at GT if you're interested) but my god the gameplay looks boring. it's like a mixture of motorstorm and pure which you'd think would be amazing, but no, it looks boring.

the whole weather thing looks cool tho.

Isn't the graphics-thing a result of having huge open worlds, instead of cramped circuits? I mean, GT5P looks amazing, but just a few feet off the track, 3D is replaced by photographs...

I, for one, am really looking forward to this one. Open world + extreme racing = awesome

Looks awesome to me. Lightning hangs around longer if there's more energy to discharge, and considering the earth has more or less been destroyed and global warming has led to extreme weather conditions... I'd expect the lightning to stick around longer.

I've also seen the gameplay videos and I think it looks pretty good. The motorbike one was slightly dull but the ATV and buggy videos seemed fun enough. The graphics obviously aren't up there with Pure and Motorstorm, and it doesn't seem to have any real stunts, but gameplay-wise I'll probably prefer it over Motorstorm at least, which I found about as interesting as peeling the skin off my face.

Then you must have seen that it's racing on a closed circuit. And I disagree that an open world always looks worse than a small level ( Far Cry 2 i.e.). It's just not as impressive as I expected, and the gameplay looked wrong.

looks promising.. let's just hope it does turn up blurry as most comasters' games on consoles

I couldn't have said it better, a shame. Codemasters has gone to crap over the last few years.

About the game

What's up?
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker quests, which is a goddamn shame, a goddamn shame. For sure they could have come up with some meaningful side quests with at least a story. (45 minutes ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker Definitely enjoying FFXV more but I am solely talking about the story missions, some good diversity there. I also really like the Chocobos. Just such a shame that the side quests truly are all fetch (46 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I just think it's a pretty bad sign if a new game can't generate interest on a free weekend. The fact that there are other new games is not a very compelling excuse imo. (2 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Black Ops is also the most popular Call of Duty sub-brand now. (2 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts Also, even WD2 and Dishonered 2 sold much less than the previous games in their series. Same for CoD:IW, very few games that got released this Holiday season sold more than their predecessors. (2 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts electric devices, entertainment devices, etc. So who has that much money left that isn't reserved for Christmas perparation and gifts?! All around bad timing, hence why I believe Spring would be right (2 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts Then you have the fact that by now people's wallets are hurting. And many people buyed new consoles, PS4 Base or Pro, and XB1 S. Plus Holiday season sells a lot of other things like clothes, PC parts, (2 Hours ago)
