Generic is what will use in this case.
And this is from guys that created Ratchet and Clank. I'm very disappointed with Insomniac.
Wow im actually impressed, I didnt think Insomnaic had it in them to make a quality shooter....this makes Resistance look silly. Defo going to put this on the radar now.
all i got from that trailer was yeah BRO!! we kick ass....yawn
If I'm remembering correctly they also did Disrupter? on the first Playstation which was quite impressive technically but only reasonably fun to play
Resistance 3 looked pretty good
It's a bit mean perhaps but I don't think Insomniac have ever made anything truly amazing. Their games are always well made and technically solid efforts but that seems to be more what holds them together. They are far from rubbish but never truly excellent either

The problem i have with this is if feels like EA have had too much say in what they're doing. The GT.TV footage of the game looks awful. And the premis is so lame, and by the numbers sounding. It sounds like a lazy "me too" sort of game, which arguably resistance was too, but resistance managed to do so interestingly. This looks as generic as they come. Why they ditched the more cartoony, comedy elements i don't know. It would have been quite refreshing to play a co-op TPS that wasn't all "Serious McSerious". Basically the controls and quality of gunplay from resistance, but with the charm, stylisation and humour from ratchet. I guess EA just wanted a gears clone though...shame.
