Gameplay videos of Race Pro

Atari's Race Pro will be released in Europe tomorrow, exclusively on Xbox 360. Here are two gameplay videos I captured last night, showing two car classes and realism settings played with the MS steering wheel. The WTCC one is on a track in England and in Pro settings, while the F3000 video is in Germany and Semi-Pro settings. I'm really liking the game, the gameplay is fantastic and I've never had so much fun with the wheel before! We'll have more videos and images tomorrow or during the weekend.

The videos posted last weekend got some questions raised about tearing issues. I haven't changed any capture settings but these two videos doesn't have as much, so it could depend on tracks or other in-game settings. More importantly, it's never as bad as those videos on the TV while playing.

Is it the same build as last time?

I assume it's much better with the wheel then. Is the standard controller still playable? It could alienate alot of people if it isn't.

Same build, retail.

It's "always" better with the wheel, it always takes some training before you can handle it in each game but then it's fantastic. I don't think the controller controls are worse than in any other racing game, I never had any problems with it.

Cool!

I wanted to inject some life into my other driving games (Forza 2, PGR3+4, Grid, Dirt and Test Drive Unlimited), so a steering wheel might be just the thing!

Definitely. Racing games are meant to be played with a steering wheel, just like fighting games with an arcade stick :)

I can't play PGR with the wheel. I'm way better with the anologue sticks. :')

Looks better then I expected after all the negative comments last time. Shame for the screen tearing when using the bumper cam though.
But I will get this as soon as I have the opportunity

I have it, game is really good, enjoying it so far. I play rFactor and GTR Evolution on PC with G25 Racing wheel also. Whilst it isn't a patch on those two in terms of graphics it is a very good game. I use the standard controller and it's good fun.

But it does nag at me that it is a lot poorer graphically than GTR Evolution on PC which I run at max settings with 60 FPS.

However that aside it looks great for an Xbox 360 racing game.

It's been so long since I played a great racer, but this one doesn't look too bad. How about showing some replays though? Forza 2's shitty replays ruined the game for me.

Yeah, I also noticed that few games have good replays. GRID was annoying, Motorstorm still has none.
For me the GT series has always had the best of them (I watched about 80% of all my races in replay :)). I hope this one gets the same quality, as I really like analizing my lines and watching the cars being beautiful :p

I this very confused.
But i buy this game this days back.

Only wait play in private game with my friends, no Matchmaking of losers disconnected in the last momment, sending a bad reputation by the face... the Rep no is a minigame!

Well, sorry... i this frustated with the XBLIVE of 360, i view better the XBox LIVE of XBOX original without paranoid with the matchmaking.

I say this by the games with wheel, cockpit vision and all helps disconnected by default by multiplayer. I don´t fix this settings and view always games without wheel, without cockpit vision fixed for all players.

Simulation extreme... where?

Manager, what can You say about car damages (visualisation)? Are they good or averge just like in other racing games?
