There it is finally, this site was announced quite a long time ago and many times delayed. We had to have it done for E3, and we barely did it. Some features had to be cut, but not that much and I'm fairly happy with the end result. Of course I'm sure there are still quite a few bugs and old code in the dusty corners of the site, but I still hope you'll like the change. It's worth nothing though that the new forum is not final and it will be changed quite a bit over the following week.
In case you do not want to see the news and games of all the console manufacturers, you can choose what will be displayed on your account page.
Some of the new features are a way for us to show you exactly the important things immediately via the three big top story images, and also the new archives allowing you guys to find older news more easily than before. You'll also notice that our editors now can write blogs, where they'll certainly let you know about their wonderful adventures as gaming journalists.
Most of the pages have been more or less profoundly changed visually, the easiest one to notice would be the news page, and the download one. And I'm sure you'll agree they really needed it.
Also important to note is that this site is now officially edited by the Gamersyde SARL, a French company funded by Snoopers and myself. So I guess that makes us officially professionals, but don't think it will make us do fewer mistakes in the news :)
I wish you guys the best of luck on this endeavor. And please, please, please, if you guys ever make it to the big leagues, don't become the generic trash that so many, many gaming sites like IGN and Gamespot have become. You guys are too good for that kind of hellish fate, and the world already has far too many generic game sites and magazines that add nothing to medium. Think high and let the skies truly be your limits.
With that said, congrats on the new digs and the best of luck making your mark upon the world.
Very nice! Love the new look. Keep up the good work Blim & Company. You guys are definitely one of the best out there. Can't wait for all the High-Def E3 videos.
It actually keeps looking more and more like a more intimate "1up network" and I think that's just great. I see you have Editorial blogs up there, any plans for user blogs in the future ?
