Page 1 2 3 >>Anyhow, game is great looking but I'm still worried the game will suffer from bumper car syndrome. I don't like hitting cars/walls and it not having a realistic effect on the physics of the car. Same goes for hitting grass.
PD need to fix the physics before they worry about damage modeling and other bells and whistles.
Edit: skip to 4min for the replay, shows the new physics http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQPM2g-UsCM&eurl=ht...
I'll still buy this game day one since I'm a HUGE GT fan, i just really wish this series would catch in the physics department.
All griping aside though, damn this game sure does deliver in terms of graphics. Best lighting and city track I think I've ever seen in a video game. If this comes out only 2 months after Forza 3, I'm never gonna leave the damn house lol....
It's looking beautiful, just the low res shadows still haunt it, but overall it looks very good in motion!
The AI is improved, you can see them overtaking each other and generally behaving, although clearly it needs more improvement, towards the end, they just plough into each other, spin the driver etc..
Looking forward to more vids/info over the coming months.. and still hoping for a 2009 release.!
Animation and Physics- go to Forza 3. Hands down. The cars in GT just do NOT handle correctly as far as lean, weight, recoil... they're still 'toy cars' in the way they're being animated (not sure about under the hood- but on screen- very plastic car). Sheikh is babbling on about 'plastic car' looks- and that's an opinion- I feel like GT just looks perfect in that detail, but the way the cars handle and are animated/rendered goes the opposite direction. GT's real looking cars handle like toys. Forza's plastic cars handle like real cars. Which is more important to you is a matter of taste.
Innovation and Concept- Forza Series. Hands down. To see the "suggested line" appear in GT is a tribute to Forza leading the way. That and DAMAGE on all cars in Forza is a major boost.
No flaming please- I'm getting both and not blinking an eye about it.
Graphics- on screen- go to GT5. Hands down.

Both games look great and play great as you said.
Thank god i will be playing both games instead of the sad fanboys who will be fighting on the forums which games is better instead of playing at least one they have.
Is it seriously running at 1080p though? If so, not bad at all.

no not full 1080p but 1280 x 1080 2aa if prologue is anything to go by which is a 50% increase in pixels as opposed to a 100%+ with full hd 1920 x 1080p
@SKY FORM
are u kidding??
FM3 looks like a PS2` game vs GT5
Others these are FM3 videos ..Notice the low poly plastic cars and bad looking environment
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EILruO7te3Q&feature... --lol at the red PLASTIC CAR

GT5 is a generation ahead of forza 3..theres just no comparison between the 2
@SKYFORM
