Sony managed to get us into an interview with the ever interesting Alex Evans about the upcoming LittleBigPlanet 2. Here it is in video, with some heavily noise-filtered sound that's a bit annoying but at least you can understand the dialog :)

Jumping seems a lot more smoother this time. (It ruined the first game for me)
you can program the jumping (and anything else you control) to handle however you want. if you want mario like jumpng, you can have it, if you like the physics based jumping (i personally loved it) then you can have that too. if you want moon jumping, guess what. you can have that too. they've gone crazy with the amount of stuff in there that's customisable.
there's a vid at gamespot showing a level that's been attatched to a sequencer, something they originally put in there to make their own music, but someone thought out of the box and made it do something it wasnt intended to do. i can't wait till the commuinity get their hands on it.
BTW, what's up with the camera. since E3, there have been some crazy artifacts on screen. i was worried they where part of the games themselves when watching infamous 2, but looking at this, it seems it's a compressions/technical fault? is the camera just screwed up? did someone drop it? lol

Actually it's a firewire issue with our new core i7 laptop that I finally fixed on day 2 of the Gamescom. Basically it was configured using the Firewire OHCI Ricoh driver, and had to be set to Firewire OHCI (Legacy) driver. I couldn't believe how simple that was, and how much time it made us lose trying to get our videos right...
