I hope this game flops and Capcom will learn never to pull a number like that again.

I actually think this will be pretty good. Ninja theory do decent well acted stories, and it looks like its retaining the DMC action. I doubt it will sell huge numbers though..and most likely be like enslaved and find its way to the bargin bin pretty quickly. But i'm looking forward to trying a demo

So DmC is actually an origin story for BOTH the alternate universe's Dante and Vergil.

I would probably like this if it weren't for those crappy air combos.

I think vergil is fine, kinda has an edgy non stable mental balance to his voice acting. People who want for a return to form should really give this a try first, I'll trust Ninja Theory. DMC4's Nero was terrible, to me, I'll gladly take this version. He's more interesting, as long as he's not the silent "bad ass" type from DMC2, that was far worst lol.

What do you think is wrong with the air combos?

Well I hope this game succeed! It look great and DMC really needed change after DMC4. I'm glad Capcom is doing something different. To bad most gamers are close minded and don't understand that Capcom is going in the right direction.

I concur, most gamers are closed minded; sad, but the truth often is.

This game looks awesome. I say that both as a long time DMC fan, and as a long time Ninja Theory fan. Fact of the matter is, change is very often good. And when a series has been around as long as DMC has, change is in order to keep it fresh and interesting. And after the complete mess that was DMC4, you would think that more fans would welcome real change to the series . . . you would think.

The even sadder reality being, that if Capcom had delivered yet another same old, same old DMC5 instead of this reboot, the fans of the series would still be complaining that the DMC series had become way too stale, and that Capcom is not keeping up with the times, and all that hooha.

At the end of the day, whiners will whine, and haters will hate, and nothing you do will ever make them happy. The most you can do, is make the best product that you can, and sleep well at night knowing that if nothing else, you created a stellar product. And if the fans are too closed minded to even try it and give it a fair chance, then their loss, not yours.

About the game

asdfg I liked Geoffs speech. For once something actually felt real at the otherwise so corporate TGA. (9 minutes ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog @Moonwalker: as i said, they're friends. not just "we see each other once ever 5 years at an award show" "friends". but actual friends. things were obviously going to be personal. (1 Hour ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker @KORNdog: Nothing with calling the company out but we had that last year already. And showing Hideo respect is cool but I thought this was way too much. (1 Hour ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog back to geoff though, i honestly appreciated seeing some emotion come from those cold, dead mountain dew sponsored eyes. the guy is a lifeless husk most of the time. (2 Hours ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog "Dreamfall Chapters will launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One both physically and digitally for $29.99 / €29,99 / £24,99 via publisher Deep Silver on March 24, 2017" finally! (2 Hours ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog @Moonwalker: i think they've been friends for years. when you have a stage, why not use it to call out a company and their BS? (2 Hours ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker @Tiz: Agreed. (2 Hours ago)
