Here is a new gallery for Dark Souls II. While the screens are indeed new they are not much different from the ones prevously released. A closed beta will start on Octber 5 on Playstation 3, the publisher tells to pay attention to facebook page beginning September 5 for news regarding the registration process.

God I love the Ultra-Dangerous World of Dark Souls! It would be nice if they made a next gen console version of this game, but I'm cool with it being just for current gen...my PS3 isn't going anywhere.

I'm not gonna say that I won't buy it, but not having a next gen version makes no sense. If it's going to be out on PC then why can't it be ported to PS4/Xbone?

expensive licensing and certification fees for a very small audience, an audience that probably already owns a PS3 or 360. Makes no sense for a game like this to go next gen.

PC on the other hand, just get it out there. No fees and i doubt they'll have any issues with getting it on Steam.
