Ghostbusters images

Ghostbusters images

Atari again, and this time some new images of the much awaited Ghostbusters. This definitely seems to be a game done for the fans of the first movies, and done right.

Looks excellent, they did a great job keeping the actors accurate and whatnot. Might be a fun game.

Definitely, and if it plays well people may forgive the rest of the look.

I keep wanting to find the screenshots of the cancelled Ghostbusters game, but I think we lost them after this one was announced.
I remember it looking much more graphically ambitious.
Oh well, this will have to do, hehe.

It's the same game, but they had to find a new publisher. So what you see here, is from the same game.

really?
If I remember correctly the first batch of images (which are no longer available here) were from a different team and the game was dropped by the publisher.
Then this team showed up with another (quite different looking) game and a different publisher.

I don't know, I could be wrong but I'll never know until I find those damn images.

you're right

"In January 2007, videos that showed a Ghostbusters game in action for the Xbox 360 surfaced on the internet. Though the tech demos were legitimate according to developer ZootFly, trouble with copyright issues arose as no license had been granted. In order to avoid possible lawsuits, ZootFly will be instead developing a similar game named TimeO based on their Ghostbusters prototype"

terminal reality are making this version. they do look different as well. zootfly's was a lot darker and realistic looking, TR's version is more cartoony imo. they both had a major focus on physics tho and objects flying around all over the place.

theres some early footage of zootfly's version

one thing that botheres me is that there seems to be a distinct lack of shadows and lighting in the game...considering they're using proton packs you'd think it'd be scattering light and shadows everywhere....i guess its a limitation of the engine or something?

About the game

What's up?
  • Melmoth
Melmoth waiting and staring, sounds realistic to me. I did a lot of that in the close-combat troop in the costal artillery :D (5 Hours ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite Oh, and there was lots, and lots of sitting on a beach and staring. Oh, and Harry fucking Styles! Harry. Styles! Riveting stuff. (5 Hours ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite Might as well have been watching an episode of the A-Team. "I ain't gettin on no boat, fool!" (5 Hours ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite @asdfg: A PG-13 historically accurate (or was it) accounting of a real WW2 event that cost the lives of 30,000 soldiers, yet the best Nolan could come up with is a torpedo and some target practice (5 Hours ago)
  • crookedmind
crookedmind They said the same thing about pedophiles when "to catch a predator" aired. Suddenly, they were everywhere. They've always been there and always will. (7 Hours ago)
  • crookedmind
crookedmind @droezelke: I don't think it's getting worse. I think it's just reported more, has more exposure. I grew up reading about horrible shit supremacists did in the south. This isn't new. (7 Hours ago)

MikeManiac61 @droezelke: It's crazy how Charlottesville is 2 hours away from me Very frightening indeed. (8 Hours ago)
